I once stole a picnic basket full of Golden Age comics.

Are they calling that printers crease a “light scratch center front cover”?

Dirty comic secret, eh?
I once paid a lady of the night with a comic book. She was so good I gave her a near mint copy of Cherry Poptart #1. I thought it most appropriate.
In turn, she was so impressed by me that she gave me a copy of The Riflemen #10.

After looking into that sale back in 2015, it looks like the seller was trying to sell it as a "Green River" even though it was not designated as such on the label. It looks like the book was just re-graded in Sept. of this year and the old label must have been turned in because nothing shows up in the "verify certification" using the old number from the sale in 2015. (The old cert. number was 0765779015.)

By the location and color of the date stamp, it looks like this book sold twice back in late 2015 and it did not have a "Green River pedigree" notation then. It must have been re-graded because interestingly, the page quality was cream to off-white then, but now it has off-white to white. I agree with Sal, the Green River pedigree probably did not have any Silver Surfer's in it because of the time frame of the Green River pedigree that stops in late 1967, early 1968, right before the Silver Surfer solo series started. Here's an image of the book as sold in 2015, not very good quality, but it seems to match the one you posted currently on ComicLink.

Bought this raw off an ebay seller. Just back from grading. Came back about where I thought. A hard hit, one of only 6 on the census, only one grader higher at 9.0.

From my recent submission of mid Silver Age books, I thought I had about seven books that had a shot at 9.4. Of the seven, one got 9.0, five got 9.2 and one got 9.6. Of course, as you can see, none got a 9.4. Oddly, the one that got the 9.6 is the one of the books I thought was the weakest of the bunch. Conversely, the one that got the 9.0 I thought was one of the strongest. Just shows you what I know.

Sue Storm! She was actually the most powerful one of them all, but Stan and Jack never went there, a real disservice to the character they created.

The Avengers #32 8.0 with that "blot stain" on the back cover is pretty consistent with what I've seen before. From my experience, any kind of stain like that will pretty much limit a book to an 8.0 no matter how nice the rest of the book is.

Picked this one up at a local auction a few years back. A beautiful example of how subscription books were mailed back in the 60's. (Respects to the original owner, Mr. Schatzberg, passed away in 2014.)

You’re good. Does this mean the “stain” or “sun damage” or whatever occurred after the 2013 sale? Fark.
Hard to say, it could just be some debris on the scanner when they imaged the book for the auction.

After doing a little more research, the same book sold back in 2013 on Heritage and that image does not display what we are seeing the current ComicLink image.
Sell or wait in today's down market?
