  1. I would love to see another heavyweight actor as a villain in this movie. If any of the rumors come together... Denzel or Bryan Cranston would make me happy. Definitely not Joaquin Phoenix. Isn't he a retired rapper now anyway?
  2. Why was she allowed to take a phone call mid flight? If they landed or were about to take off, she could have celebrated. By saying she couldnt make loud noises tells me they were in the air, which again begs the question, why was she allowed to field a call? As far as her saying its the new Wonder Woman as the justification of her looks is not good enough to me. I still don't want Olive Oil playing Diana Prince. Gadot's acting is sufficient I suppose, though I'm definitely not blown away with her in Fast and Furious. She looks cute enough, I just prefer the most powerful woman in the world to have some curves. She has no breasts, no hips, no butt, and no discerable muscles to speak of. I'm not looking for She-Hulk but come on folks, something. If her trainer pulls this off, they should be the top trainer in the world. Then again Affleck isn't exactly bulky enough to pull of Bruce Wayne last I saw. Still think DC could have made things a lot easier for themselves but this will be interesting. I'm not sold, but I also wont lie to you and say I won't watch the darn thing.
  3. 18-34 male demographic would be target audience I would think. Considering that was the same demographic that watched Breaking Bad and provided the huge ratings, solidifying Cranston as an "in demand" actor.
  4. So I'm trying to wrap my mind around DC's decisions but I can't. Ben Affleck as Batman, he COULD pull it off, but not my ideal choice by far. A sentiment which lots of people agree with. Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, if Affleck pulling of Batman is 50/50, Gadot has about a 5% chance, assuming she has the acting chops which is a big assumption, she needs to hit the gym..hard, Sh'e best suited for Olive Oil in a Popeye movie based on her body type. So 2 strikes as far as I concerned. Then Brian Cranston indicates interest as Lex Luthor, vast majority of populace agrees and is excited about the prospect so naturally DC says Joaquin Phoenix is considered to be Luthor. Can someone please explain this to me? Is Affleck getting so much $$$ that Gadot and Phoenix can be paid significantly less? I would assume Cranston could demand quite a bit. Is it all about money, is DC trying to fail, or are they just hopelessly out of touch with the target audience?
  5. SADE was singing about Dave because he is one Smooth Operator. Great condition, even faster shipping. He said monday, I had it Saturday! Great seller! Thanks Dave!
  6. Just bought about 10 issues from Ed. Prices were great, condition was even better then advertised and by the time he told me he sent it, I basically already had the books! Great guy all around! Thanks Ed!!!
  7. Super Seller. Mike is awesome on every level. Great books, great pricing, Fantastic experience! Thank you Mike!!!
  8. So has this show gotten better? I watched the premiere, was dissapointed, forced myself to watch the second episode, and all I can say without ruffling some feathers is I do like this show at all. Did the show change at all? If not I'm assuming it just doesnt agree with me.
  9. 29. Collected strictly What If's when I was a kid. Stopped collecting from High School on, picked it back up 2 years ago.
  10. All i meant is that right now, this instant I would argue that DC is hotter than Marvel. they have more hype. I did not mean to imply that "passing" was "better," just more popular, and gaining more steam. It seems like Since Avengers, since IM3 Marvel didnt do much, where DC capitalized on Dark Knight, MoS was decent at the box office, and now they had the 3D cover insanity.
  11. Everyone has their favorites, but take away Spiderman and IronMan from Marvel and they're "less cool" too. Top to bottom I still think Marvel is better, that's my opinion. The DC New 52 has Suicide Squad which I love, I also like Birds of Prey, and have heard Aquaman is great. However I would agree with you as the whole 2 trick pony comment, I would say Batman and Superman mean much more to DC than anything Marvel has.
  12. You are absolutely right, DC may have more sales and that doesn't mean a darn thing, especially not that DC is better.......... but please allow me to use your own argument against you. It cannot be proven that more people saw IM 3 because it was great, I could just as easily say that people saw IM 3 because of IM and IM 2. People saw the Avengers because of anticipation. (Totally not the case as it was amazing) But you cannot say look at the movie numbers, Marvel killed it and then turn around and say, the comic numbers don't mean anything. Either numbers mean something or they don't, you cannot pick which ones matter and discredit the others that oppose your claim.
  13. If I may, could I possibly ask someone to post numbers of issues sold recently? From other posts is it safe to assume someone has those #'s readily available? I could not find September's numbers yet.
  14. If anyone is confused, allow me to clarify, I was not stating facts, just my opinion. That said, Iron Man was amazing IM 2 was ok, I thought IM 3 was a poor effort, especially in comparison. I understand that all the movies take liberties from the comics and deviate which is fine, but I though IM3 not only deviated, but got lost and died in the woods. MoS was was pretty good, granted maybe that's because I know more about Iron Man than Superman and maybe that's why I didn't notice the errors with Mos. Finally, if anyone thinks DC isn't passing Marvel, please support your claim. I was not stating that DC is better, I was stating as of right now, the present, DC has a much healthier pulse than Marvel. Avengers was amazing, but that was a while ago and with Batman and Superman being afterwards, the average person is left remembering the DC franchise, and for those that are somewhat immersed in the comic culture the DC 3D covers created an absolute madhouse. Whether you like it or hate it is irrelevant, people were buying DC not Marvel, I don't have numbers to support that, but I'd be shocked if that wasn't the case. Whatever you like, DC or Marvel, it's not the point, my point is and was DC is a hotter commodity right now and Marvel needs to answer, Agents of Shield may very well be that answer, but no yet. DC just has a leg up right now. And maybe this got lost in the last post so let me point it out again so I'm not accused of being bias. I prefer Marvel over DC, always did, I'm not saying this as a fan of DC, but as an observer of what I see and hear.
  15. Well having given the show a fair chance with my full attention, my conclusion is......no. I though the show was bad. Not horrible but teetering on the edge. I thought the acting was bad, the casting was bad, the production was ok, cinematography was sub par. The show did not feel right. Granted I cannot expect the production value of the movie but this was just bad. Arrow absolutely destroys this show in every way imaginable, and I fancy myself a Marvel guy. I hope they fix this asap because it was over-hyped and grossly under delivered. DC is quickly passing Marvel, TV and comics currently belong to DC (especially after the 3D month) , Marvel still has movies but Iron Man 3 sucked too, while Superman was a pleasant surprise. Looking like a great year for DC, Marvel needs help.....
  16. So the lack of responses seems to justify my assumption. Outside of the art this book has absolutely nothing going for it. Are people really only buy these issues for the pictures?
  17. Bought a few issues from Mark on a thread. Great prices and excellent shipping. Also great communication! Thanks Mark!!
  18. So following along the same lines as the post above, I went to my local shop as I've been looking for Marvel Super-heroes 13 the first Carol Danvers. To my shock and awe the store not only had that, but also a Marvel super-heroes 12 (first Captain Marvel)! To make it even better, 13 was selling for $15, while the 12 was at $25. Basically 40 for both each in VG condition! Going off of recent prices I've seen, I'd say it was a steal! I'll post some pics later, but wow I'm floored. These were like garage sale prices! BTW they have another Marvel Superheroes 12 if anyone is looking. I'll pick it up for you if you want.
  19. Just got these from Andy yesterday! Can't stop staring at them! My wife got the Deapool with Outlaw, I got the Hulk!
  20. Good points all around, especially about Stan's signature in a unfavorable spot. For me its still tough, If I ever got a grail and had a chance to have it signed by some of significance it be tough to pass up. First world problems I guess...
  21. So I'm sure there is an already existing thread discussing this but I couldn't find it, namely because I didn't look for it. So High worth books, signed or unsigned, and for this discussion lets keep it relevant "big" name signatures. For instance I'm not a fan of getting Stan Lee to sign something he didn't directly contribute to. For instance, I personally would not want his signature in ASM 129 as he didn't write it, just my thoughts. What does eveyone think?
  22. Purchased a few issues from his SDCC thread. One of the best seller's on here! Great communication, super fast shipping, and just a joy to buy from. Thanks Toast!!!
  23. So has anyone read this? Would you be so kind as to tell me what its about? I wasn't able to find anything and am curious if it has any substance or just hot women scantily clad with suggestive poses. Much appreciated.
  24. So I don't recall seeing it on the list but where does Deadpool fall? Disney? I mean he was in the Wolverine movie, but that did him no justice, I'd love to see a Deadpool movie, I like Ryan Reynolds as Wade Wilson, he played a pretty good smartass.
