  1. But according to the OP, when it was sent it, it was shown to everyone. Also lets not forget that they have only a handful of graders, It would not have been possible for a whole new set of eyes to grade this unless they were a new hire, and I don't see CGC letting a new hire grade a book like this and it still had to pass through QC, but that's a whole other issue...
  2. This is really messed up. I'm honestly shocked. As far as CGC's response, my first question will be how can you 100% prove it was the same book. On such an EPIC screw up, I think they may go to the denial defense. Not the same book, never happened, etc. I really feel for you, for "everyone" to look at it and swear it was trimmed and now it's magically not, I'm dying to know their response. I'm trying to imagine a scenario where you will be happy by the outcome, and I'm not seeing one. Sorry brother, godspeed!
  3. I don't hate the cover, but I don't exactly love it either. It's not so bad that I won't own the issue. There are some covers out there that I will not touch. (Wonder Woman 177 comes to mind) NM 98 is not one of them.
  4. So I'm a bit confused. Your saying his success came from his rep, I'd argue his rep was a result of his work ethic and art. Either way, we all have our own tastes.
  5. Outside of her slabbed sketch, thats my wife;s first CGC book! She got Liefeld to sign it. I like the issue, Liefeld gets a lot of hate because he did put out some pretty awful work, I still give him a pass for Cable and Deadpool though.
  6. Curtis is a great seller. Takes care of the books he sells and his prices are great. Would certainly buy from him again! Thanks Curtis
  7. While I enjoyed the show, I do feel a bit let down...
  8. Class act! Had a contest, shipped on his dime, package nuke proof. A great member on the boards!
  9. Then he needs to do the right thing and drop her off a fat envelope of cash. That is just wrong. Why? How can one make that claim with so little information? I wonder the same thing, I regret making that comment. Still havent heard anything btw.
  10. MSH 13 doesn't acknowledge "first Carol Danvers" Every slab I have seen mentions nothing about her, contacted CGC about it and they said if you include a request for that notation, they "may" do it. Can't understand why they don't...
  11. Wait, it wasnt on last night!? Oh damn............
  12. Cant pick a single issue, but I'd have to say the Batman Hush story arc was amazing. Loved the art, the concept, the writing, the integration of characters, it's phenominal. All Star Batman and Robin was also great. If i had to pick a single issue, Justice League 1 from new 52, likely because its the most recent single issue that I can think of. I'm sure there are plenty of other older ones though too...
  13. Definitely looking forward to Arkham Knight!
  14. Thanks for quelling the mob and again, I'll have to confirm and the details are scare. Also not sure if its THE Cap #2 as the guy doesn't know a whole lot about comics and he doesnt know a great deal about it's worth, I think he may think it's worth a pretty penny, but I'm skeptical if he knows its real worth because I think he would have sold it. He bought it a while ago (don't know specifically) and its just hanging on his wall. I'll reach out and see if I can get a pic, and if it is "THE" issue, I'll ask for some details. This was the first time I met the guy so it could have just been false bravado. I'll keep everyone posted. I'll ask when my friends honeymoon is over.
  15. I'll have to confirm this but I was just at my friend wedding. Met his brother, big Cap fan. He said he got Captain America 2 for $5 from an old lady next door.
  16. This show is just too awesome for words. I watched it before work this morning at like 6.
  17. I am pretty sure you can download and read many of these on your iPad (if you have one ) from Dime Comics App. I think they are under Fiction House publisher. Dime Comics App for iPad Yeah, I pretty much read 99% of my comics digitally. I really want to own a few of these so I was asking where I should look to acquire the actual issues. Not compendiums or anthologies.
  18. So where do you go for these beauties. I'm hard pressed to believe that my LCS will have a wide selection of these. Also what kind of prices should I expect to pay? Is Overstreet a good source for pricing?
  19. For real? Is this even a legitimate question? What about TMNT puts it in the same stratosphere as AF 15? I'm so lost.

  22. 1.5 x regular time on avg Sounds good i'll see how long it actually takes. For me they have been quicker than usual, but Con season is about in to full swing. Plus i like the fact they don't charge you till the books are shipped. Is this specific for dealers or something? They charge me when they receive the books, not when they ship them back. Or did I miss something?
