Pretty cool. I hate to mention this, though, but Quiver is a 10 part story. The first 5 "all 5" -

Nothing crazy but got all 5 issues of Green Arrow Quiver by Kevin Smith and 3 issues of All Star Batman & Robin by Jim Lee and Frank Miller. $1 per issue. I'm happy! Zia Records -

That WW looks awesome. It may have to be my first statue, that or the Gwen Stacy.

The show keeps getting better and better. Amanda Waller and the Suicide Squad, references to Rhas Al Ghul, I love this show, Marvel Agents of Shield could learn a few dozen things.

Before seeing a Rosenbaum Luthor I'd never have thought that would have been a wise casting choice....that said....I can see a bald Eisenberg working it. Wouldn't have been my 1st choice but you gotta say it's been one surprise after another with the cast. A for effort with fooling the fanboys to DC/WB for sure. I would have bust a nut however if Cranston got the job.....I can see him filling out Luthor's shoes easily. Has absolutely been a surprise, just not sure if it's a good one. Surprising fanboys is one thing but I'm not sure this is that, I mean, really? Affleck, Gadot, Eisenberg. I jusy dont know, Affleck has the chops to pull of Wayne/Batman, Gadot is a pretty face, she needs to bulk up and I'm not sold on her acting. Eisenberg hasn't shown me the depth I need to see to pull off Lex Luthor, he may be a good actor, but I'm having a hard time as respecting him as Lex Luthor.....

Eisenberg as Lex Luthor!!!?? This movie has shown me the absolute worst casting decisions I can comprehend. I cannot sit idly by anymore. I'm almost at the point where I hope this move bombs, which is so very sad because of the potential. The actors are all good, (Gadot is ok) but the Batman, Luthor, and WW roles are head scratchers. Hopefully they will pull it off, but as of now, I'm officially indifferent at best. No longer rooting for this movie. Bryan Cranston would have been THE BEST Lex Luthor, hands down. Eisenberg does not look nor act like a super villian, just a d-bag as Zuckerberg.

Kinda sucks that Crixus is a bad guy though, Deathstroke is cool an all, but thats Crixus, he should be a good guy.

Heck Yeah!!! This show rocks.

So what I'd like to know is how you find these deals. Do you actively search for them (Craigslist? Newspaper?) or go to local garage sales with the wife/gf/family and stumble across these? Also have you been doing this for a while? Any scores on a first visit? Etc... -

Rich is a great guy to deal with! Super friendly, awesome communication, doesnt hyper inflate his prices. If I had to say something bad about Rich, it would be that he's Canadian, but I love Canada so it's actually a good thing. Rich even threw in a free healthcare!!! Thanks Rich!!!! -
hope the new TAT's continue to improve. Plan on dropping off 2/3 Moderns and Maybe 1 Economy by end of month. Would a mid-March return be reasonable expectation for everything?

The story behind 2/4...and my Daredevil #1 grail!
stanley1883 replied to HarveySwick's topic in Comics General
2/4 is the time window the original owner had planed for the crime. Upset that the clerk at the local shop was always mean to him, he had planned to bust the windows of the store that night and take the Spiderman books the clerk cherished. He wrote 2/4 on the Dardevil because that's who he considered himself to be, he was going to dress up like Evil Kenivel and ride his bike through the store's glass front. The 2 was for 2am, when everyone would be sleeping, and 4 was 4 minutes, the time he gave himself before the shop owner would wake up to the noise and run downstairs with his bat. It was one of those older shops where the owner lived in the apartment above the shop. -

Do you buy CGC books you like, or for investment?
stanley1883 replied to Meta4's topic in Comic Polls & FAQs
I buy books I like and try to avoid whats hot. Pretty good with nthe last aspect, last books I bought because they were hot were deadpool 54 and 55, the punisher covers. Everything else, like the DC 3-d covers were on my pull list and i paid less than cover price. I never buy a book just to flip it, but i have ended up selling/trading 2 slabs, but they always got something better in my mind. -

I'm hesitant to post in these forums as there are some hardcore CGC apologists that take offense to someone being frustrated with CGC. I do think they need to address the fact that they are severely backlogged, Also the customer service is ggod but not great from my experience. Werent they supposed to open new locations? At least I heard that a while back.

So I should probably fast track unless I'm ok with lik a 3-6 month wait.
