  1. Feel free to post these kinds of finds in here. The thread started out as garage sale, flea market and antique mall finds only but I decided later on to let any cool finds be posted in here. The more the merrier! Thanks!
  2. This isn't technically a garage sale/flea market/antique mall find, BUT I wanted to share my pickups from a shop in Myrtle Beach this weekend. I looked for a thread for pickups, but only found this one and eBay. Anyway, the shop was having a 50% off white sticker sale and had recently put out newly acquired stock. I snagged these four for only $10 total. I could've gotten more SA Spidey, but they were in really bad shape and not too much of a steal.
  3. Outcast #3 Last Page Cameo Detective Luke Masters Outcast #4 1st Full Detective Luke Masters Credit to G+ group for this info. Or you could just read the issue. Id have to take them out of the bag to read them..... I read an ebay auction a few days ago where the guy said he didn't know the condition of the back of the comic because there was a white board covering it.
  4. Outcast #3 Last Page Cameo Detective Luke Masters Outcast #4 1st Full Detective Luke Masters Credit to G+ group for this info. Or you could just read the issue. I've read them all. I just have a bad memory.
  5. I clicked back on the thread to see what else was going on, but it was only new responses from Slym. (Not that there's anything wrong with that).
  6. Outcast #3 Last Page Cameo Detective Luke Masters Outcast #4 1st Full Detective Luke Masters Credit to G+ group for this info. Thanks for the info! I find it hard to keep up with 1st apps if it isn't Spidey.
  7. I'm trying to think back on the other issues. Were there any more important ones like #1 & 2? I can't recall if there are any others worth picking up.
  8. Yes Outcast #2 is the 1st Appearance of Sidney He is the Big Bad Guy of the Series. It is a Key Issue Boys and Girls. Posted many moons ago in the G+ Group. Also has a black cover so u know. Also has a 3rd Print Also i like saying Also. 1st print Slabs are between 50 and 70, $70 being the most recent ebay sale. Shops around here ordered heavy on them so I have quite a few in the stash box. Unloaded all of my raw #1s already, the amount of slabbed copies right out of the gate had me a bit worried that the market would be flooded I only have one #1 first print. The rest are the sketches. I haven't seen as many #2s listed, but noticed they were getting $10+ now.
  9. How about Outcast #2 first print? Last one sold on eBay at $14.99. Any room for this one with the show coming?
  10. My experience with Disney_fun123. He bought a $1000 comic from me around noon last Saturday (6 days ago now). Was one of three expensive sales that day. I invoiced all immediately. He was the only one who waited until Sunday to pay. I messaged all 3 (once they paid) to establish pleasant contact and to let them know I would be shipping Monday AM. He was the only one who did not respond. I also messaged all 3 on Wednesday, checking back in, letting them know the comics would arrive that day, or possibly the next, and asking them to let me know if anything was amiss. He was the only one who did not respond. All 3 books required signature confirmation. He was the only one who was not home. He has still not picked up the book. The post office has had it for over 24 hours. You know what? He paid. He'll pick up his comic sooner or later. He might or might not ever leave eBay feedback. He probably won't send a personal message of thanks. Was it the warmest of interactions? No. But he did pay. Given his large amount of feedback, I'm guessing he does pay most of the time but I wouldn't be surprised if some of his purchases get neglected. He does seem busy or otherwise unresponsive. I hardly ever contact a buyer unless they message me first. That way they can't ding your DSRs on communication if there isn't any.
  11. Super fast payment and great communication! Couldn't ask for a better transaction! Thanks again!
  12. I sold my two copies about a week and a half ago. Got about as much as possible for the condition they were in.
  13. One of the best sellers on the boards! Great communication and excellent prices!
  14. So if a seller can't grade and/or package books properly.....how would potential buyers know? I guess the lack of positive feedback would be the give away. I wish there was a way to leave true feedback. But I think the above might be one reason why we don't. It would either result in more PL discussion or more mod involvement. And even if the PL discussion agreed the feedback wasn't factual, there wouldn't be a way to remove it without mods.
  15. The only reason I can think of is because people can post anything at any time no matter if it's true or not. What's stopping someone from leaving a negative comment just because he doesn't like another boardie?Unless mods stepped in, there wouldn't be a way to remove the untrue, negative comment.
  16. Not to beat a dead horse but I agree. Technically the buyer committed to each book separately and then backed out. But he bought each book BEFORE anybody else claimed it with . So if he DID purchase both books before anybody, both would technically be his if he's forced to buy the other. You can't say he claimed to buy the books, but then say he can't buy one and HAS to the buy the other. He claimed both books via PM but there was no PM sent to jsilverjanet. Then the #11 sold. In the mean time (after the #11 sold) he stated that his PM was only to confirm shipping and Paypal. Technically, the #11 sold fairly and the #12 was still committed to him if jsilverjanet was willing to ship to him and to accept Paypal. And if it was me, personally I'd have followed through and taken the #12 under these circumstances if I was the potential buyer even if I lost the #11. That's the way I see it. But by the buyers own admission he added the "per pm" in there just to obtain paypal and shipping charges(as Swick has pointed out several times) then failed to send a PM. The first book went to the next buyer in line which it should have been the case. The second book was not claimed so therefore he should have still proceeded with that sale. It's what any upstanding boardie would/should do. Agree to disagree? I'm not saying the buyer is right. Personally, I would've bought the book once Hector contacted me. All I was trying to say is that in this particular case, it's a little more odd and different than a normal buyer saying and then backing out.

  18. The buyer didn't share what was contained in the PM. Hopefully it was a PM reading something along the lines of "nice pick-up brother!"
  19. Yep! All that to say, they were either BOTH unconditional or BOTH conditional. The seller already said he wasn't forcing him to buy, so by default, they seem BOTH conditional.
  20. But you have to at least see that point of view. If his counts on the #12, it also counts on the #11 because both were by the guy before anybody else posted . So if he beat everybody on the #12, that applies to the #11 as well.
  21. So if the was unconditional, that was on BOTH books. So he should get both according to this argument.
