Again nothing against Bob Storm, I asked for a photo of a book and was told they would get back to me they did not and then the book sold out, next week gave a best offer on three books, no response order cancled books sold out, next week spun the wheel order confirmed... If we have the book otherwise book sold out, I was just asking if this site was legit I don't know this site or the owner, site is kind of a mess, wanted to know what was up with site, was it legit or not?
Bob is terrific, the site is fine, and if you're getting beat out buying a book you're looking for because you're slow to pull the trigger, then speed up. Highgrade has a large clientele, and sometimes books sell even before a scan gets posted. Bob's grading is tight and consistent, and he ships quickly and securely. Highgradecomics is one of the very best. It's a great venue for selling, too.
Edit: his name is Bob Storms. What's yours?

I have 270 of the Marvel BA comics with picture frame covers, which were published between November, 1971 and January, 1973. They're in very nice shape and available for collectors, readers, and those who prefer both. My plan is to offer them for sale as lots, one publication month at a time. November and December, 1971 will be listed today, and if they sell will be followed up later this week by more of the publication months.
The particulars: the list prices include US Priority Mail shipping with signature confirmation, and are firm. As the sets are coming to market for the first time, they will not be broken up - a significant discount is built into each lot price, compared with the fair market value of each individual book. All comics have been graded conservatively to ensure your satisfaction, and clicking on any image a couple times will call up a high resolution scan of the front cover. If you're not fully satisfied, a set may be returned for a refund of the book prices, the list price less my $20 shipping fee - since this is costly and a hassle to us both, please peruse the scans carefully. If you'd like a detailed description of the condition and flaws of any book, drop me a message and I'll get back to you with the details you seek. Payments are accepted by check or PayPal, and a time payment arrangement is possible. As always, the first unconditional 'take it' in the thread wins the comic lot.

So no responsibility at all, just excuses, yes?
I believe Zipper articulated their responsibilities fully and well. He just believes the perpetrators deserve even more ire.

Slobodian pedigree copy, recognized as exceptional by the hobby if not pedigree worthy by CGC. There was an auction write-up at Heritage many years ago that suggested Calvin Slobodian began collecting off the rack around 1954, but later as a comic dealer would sometimes substitute a nicer copy he acquired for one he'd bought off the stand.

These two wound up in 9.8 slabs after leaving my collection:
- Frisco Larson, Hepcat and Microchip

Some of the early SA Savannah comics are nice examples of issues hard to find in good shape.

On occasion, though, there are issues of late SA and BA comics in which the nicest copy(ies) known are from pedigrees. This is especially true for less common western, war, and humor titles, but sometimes holds for Superhero books, too.
One of one (left) and one of two (right):
SA Marvel rare in high grade - one of one:

I'm the sucker that bought the "upgraded" copy I guess. S'okay, it lives in it's natural, raw state in one of my boxes now. Don't remember what it was when I bought it... 9.0 or 9.2 I think?
Chris, everybody who's been collecting for a long time in the CGC era has bought plenty of upgraded books, so no biggie. I remember that Northland book looking really sweet in a mylar with backing board. I bought it from Motor City when they first brought the collection to market.

It's a Canon marketing tool, from what I can tell. The light source and image capture sensor are common to most inexpensive scanners. It looks to have a couple of advantages over prior Canon scanners, a slightly faster scan speed and the lack of requirement for a separate power supply, so long as the scanner is linked by USB cable to a computer.

The back cover is nicer than the front. Motor City Comics graded all the Northland comics almost without exception as NM-.
There was plenty of variation in the Marvels.
