Maybe it's just me but I fail to see why. It's a $1 starting bid so it's not like the seller set the price. Someone intentionally leaked the bad issues and they were marketed as a collectible, more or less. The comic is not out yet, so it's not like someone found them on the shelves. Still not seeing it... Aren't ratio variants, convention and retailer exclusives pretty much marketed as collectibles, too? Those are intentional and known. These are unintentional and are typically discarded. What's to stop publishers from intentionally making "errors"? Then maybe reserve the pitchforks for when it happens again. Uh, it just did. That's the whole point. Errors get destroyed by the publisher, right? Well this publisher is selling them on eBay and calling them special editions. The seller is the publisher / co writer. I remember a Wytches exclusive variant error where the copies weren't destroyed and were being sold as rare collectibles by the person who ran the variant program. Glass houses, eh?

If the first time the name of the character is used is what designates a 1st full appearance as in the case of Venom then why is Strange Tales #180 still regarded as the 1st appearance of Gamora? It's clearly a cameo and her name isn't mentioned until ST 181.

I love the pence Bronze Age books, especially with the "All-Colour" bar across the top. You can get keys pretty cheap and be ahead of the curve. They're true 1st printings

Only an 8 page thread for the hottest new book of the last few months? That would suggest to me that not many people are reading it and are only flipping the books. They're great looking covers, collectors will always want them and it appears that nobody was getting the pair for less than 75 or 80 bucks so you won't see a price undercutting and dumping. Possibly a little bit on the color one

First prints with a sticker over the barcode, or without a sticker over the barcode? With stickers, easy to remove if needed, want to see some CGC slabs come out first ! Looks like first prints with the stickers left on selling for close to 3x retail at at this point... eggcellent. If all of the 1st prints have the stickers, wouldn't removing them get a green label from CGC?

Thane - absolutely has potential. New Avengers Vol 3 #10 vanished from shops near me a while ago Nighthawk (MAX) - I'm a big fan and was saying yes until that horrible new series bombed. Damn shame because his Supreme Power ones were so good. Elsa Bloodstone - definitely. Her mini series 1st appearance has been a solid "hoard and sit on" Mosaic - nah. They tried and failed with that one. Flippers didn't really bite I'll add Phyla-Vell and Hit Monkey because we never know what James Gunn is gonna do down the road. In case there's any doubt about if Hit Monkey is a FOX or Marvel property, he does belong to Marvel/Disney. One of the few facebook question posts of mine that Gunn replied to Did you finish the NIghthawk series. I thought is was one of the better series from last year and seriously underappreciated. I gave it 2 or 3 issues and that was enough to toss them into the junk box. I can do without the BLM bs

It would be ironic if this were the reason for any kind of spec interest in this book. Coulson seemed a little forced between the Iron Man/Hulk, Battle Scars #1 and BS #6. I'll be following this closely. Go Fury Jr as I still have a bunch of #1s The sample pages I saw online look very psychedelic like classic Steranko. That's enough to get me to buy the new series when it comes out. Coulson is one of those D-list or F-list characters like Mariah Hill, Quake and Pepper Pots that people were hoping 1st appearances would take off because of the movies/ tv show but never did (myself included)

Must have really been something over the last few hours that I wasn't online, can only imagine.

There's a new Nick Fury Jr series coming, maybe Battle Scars #1 will finally see some action
