  9. Hi Jeff, I don't have any paper work on this collection any longer, but if my memory is correct it was 300-500 books (knowing Stephen he probably still has a master list) . BTW, talkin' Golden Age is so much more pleasant than all that other crappola. --Gary
  10. I forgot to mention that Stephen tracked Guy Holcombe down a few years after the deal and actually had a conversation with him. I believe he told Stephen that there were more comics than we bought. The Guy Holcombe Archie 1 is going to be sold by Heritage soon. Barry called me this week to say the consignor thought it was the Windy City copy and wanted me to confirm.
  11. Thanks, Gary. I know you're a fan of pirate covers. Have you ever seen this one? Adventure (August 10, 1924) Thanks, BZ! I've never seen it before. Wyeth again or Pyle? I'm going to ask you if you have a book - I will be shocked if you subsequently DON'T show two or three different editions Howard Pyle's Book of Pirates

  18. It is a Baker cover. Most of his covers outside of St. John, the details got lost in the inks done by others. It's difficult to recognize quite a few of them. I could go with Baker based on the guys in the background but the girl up front looks less like his style. Was this listed in the article in AE on Baker? bb I'm with BB Gun on this. Chick has the right hair, but that's it.
