I gage the platinum version at $25-30 right now. Sold listings for static 1 REGULAR covers show us there is still a lot of demand for this character, as I wrote before, most likely from the reader, NOT collector. Prices and movement for the platinum cover have simmered down significantly. Again, confirms the notion that collectors, not readers - as well as spec’ers, have looked for another toy to play with. But the interest for the character exists. If a copy of Static #1 still sells for up to $20, that means that no reader cares for the platinum at $60. But that will change once the hype machine sets back into motion. Perfect time to send in those best offers and send to get graded. This one DEFINITELY will go places

Yup The problem with eBay is that their system is sooooo carefully set in place for decades now, and in order for them to evolve and be more up to date like amazon, they will have to do a crazy demo-job which will probably bring the platform to its knees. Yet they wanna do everything else like Amazon; sponsored listings, managed payments, FBA (or FBE I guess)... Pretty much everything... But they dont understand that their platform and user base is TOTALLY different than Amazon. Theyre kinda like Myspace vs Facebook of 2007 (if anyone remembers) Very sad

Get in at $200-250 raw for NM or $600 for 9.8 slabbed. They are still tough to come by at those prices but ive gotten a couple at those prices not too long a go

Great time to buy NM98. That book will have many more climbs in the next decade. It has always been a long term book for me. it’s one thing if u didn’t pick up a box of UF4. Imagine picking one up and flipping it for 10-30$ a pop like most people did for years

Sad. I used it religiously before getting books signed at cons. It had a feature that allowed you to pair artists/writers to find collaborations on books. Very sad that they’re closing

truthfully, yes, they all need a press but they are all spine tick free... funny, I just saw some of the deluxe #1s going for similar prices as #4 but Im pretty sure I would sit on inventory for awhile as there are a few that are listed at $60 a pop and yea, i got better things to do than submit 30-40 xmen #1s

Wouldve sent those in too, but im not sure how the hologram grading works, what with any possible misalignment, scuffs etc
