  1. Is that the first comic book appearance of Be-Bop, Rocksteady, and Krang? Ahhhh that explains it then.. I sold 2 on Amazon in the past hour At least someone will get a good packed comic on Amazon. Absolutely the worse place to buy comics from. If I buy 10 books from 10 different sellers I am lucky to get 3 to my house with no damage. I dont mind Amazon being way over priced, but at least get the books to my house safely. End of well thanks I do an awesome job at packing books And I hear ya.. Well, Ive received books packaged well on Amazon, but the problem with amazon was always getting THE RIGHT book. Cant tell you how many times I ordered something and got a reprint or a TPB instead of an advertised HC etc etc

  3. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Adventures #1 selling like hotcakes
  4. opening a thread takes 30-40 seconds to load. Only thing I see is the top post in a thread and it takes so loooooooooong for the rest of the page to load. Anyone else experiencing this???
  5. X-Men: Apocalypse Trailer released tomorrow. Care to make a guess which book will explode short after the trailer? Or will it be another civil war dud
  6. Im not in the "favoritism" group here. My opinion always was, is and will be based on research and well.. Opinion.. Quick search shows that the seller has sold these copies in the past in groups of 6 with no completed listings noticed without a sale. All for 10 a pop Add to that a very popular cover swipe, limited print run and high sales on swipes such as THIS ONE and it all falls into proportion for me. Thats why its in this thread, and not in the heating up thread. .. Speculator, please
  7. Never seen this one here, Im pretty sure its not heating up or gonna heat up, but what the heck, I had a minute to kill, so here... http://www.ebay.com/itm/Oxymoron-loveliest-nightmare-1-Larrys-Variant-Spider-Man-1-Homage-Ltd-1-000-/221961424010?hash=item33adee8c8a:g:3uYAAOSw0JpV3N3c
  8. Again...disagree with this. From what I've read, fans were excited by the Wonder Woman reveal -- fans were indifferent and/or negative towards the Doomsday one. (unnecessary addition, didn't look right, different powers than in the comics, trailer revealed too much plot) It was _speculators_ who were excited at the Doomsday reveal (and hence, "comic book sales"). Put another way, would it not have been more effective to leave the Doomsday reveal secret until the movie? (i.e. Howard the Duck in Guardians?) The speculators would still have made their nut, just a bit later... And, further counter to your point above -- Civil War _did_ have a big character intro for the fans -- Black Panther. Whether its the fans or the speculators who got excited doesnt really make a difference - the SALES are the proof that the trailer worked. The proof is ALWAYS where the moneys at. You may call it X and I may call it Y, but the MARKET ALWAYS DECIDES at the end. Black Panther was exciting in the trailer? where are the sales to prove it? Show me a NOTICEABLE increase as in MOS18 right off the gate. Show me 50+ sales of Black Panther books an hour into the trailer's appearance. The fact that the fans talk about it doesnt mean it really worked. I praised it, you praised it, but BP appearance in the trailer was not as impactful as was Doomsday's.. You couldve blinked and missed him in that trailer.
  9. I hope you informed him about this before the cleaning lady arrived
  10. But...that's only because Crossbones didn't appear. Had he (as we've seen from the still shots) those Cap books (which are, like MOS 18, mad common) would have spiked overnight as well. Yup, thats because the trailer didnt work, neither towards a property nor to benefit the film. Remember the Thanos Cameo earlier this year that leaked and promoted Infinity War? That was a leaked bootleg clip that went viral and had the same impact on Infinity Gauntlet books.. The big studios need to learn that character introductions in movie trailers excite fans and depicting them with such impact contributes to that excitement (.. and consequently comic book sales
  11. Adventure 283 has always been a sought after book. Surprisingly, not as widely discussed among collectors, but a huge book nonetheless
  12. I think you guys are looking into it waaaaay too deep. While theres no harm in speculating, the real reason why MOS17/18 are selling well now is because of the mass appeal that the recent trailer had on fans of the character (doomsday).. I dont see any peak with any other books/characters relating to that movie since the trailer aired. Its worth mentioning that the Alias trailer had the same affect. It was well received by the audience and Alias started making the rounds instantly. As did MOS17/18 - RIGHT after the trailer aired. Civil War's trailer on the other hand, didnt seem to resonate with fans as much, sales for the series havent picked up when it aired.
  13. Set photos from BvS showed mourners laying flowers at the site of the destroyed Superman statue that we've seen in the trailers. Hmm..... Link? http://images-cdn.moviepilot.com/image/upload/c_fill,h_431,w_587/t_mp_quality/uniforms-statue-batman-v-superman-new-set-images-reveal-the-ending-png-87125.png There are others, but they're just of various set workers placing the flowers around the destroyed statue. Yup. That started coming out a few months back, and people were already assuming Death of Superman because of the shattered statue and flowers. When I first saw these photos (over a year ago) I was shocked more sites weren't picking it up. I mean, it's a pretty massive & glaring spoiler if it means what it looks like it means. ...Just checked ebay. Average price is around $170.00 for a 9.8 of MOS 18, with A LOT of new listings. Looks like it's already seeing a nice little price spike. Then there were these scenes caught by fans hanging around the set in July. Like something big had walked across these vehicles. As cool as would be to have Doomsday on film for the first time, it would be nice if he actually did kill, or appear to kill, Superman. Otherwise he'd basically be neat looking throw-away character. The whole reason he's as renowned the way he is, is because he's the dude who "killed" Superman. Based on these set photos, the powers that be hopefully understand that. Theres gotta be a better way of saying this
  14. Looks like the MOS18 9.8 train has stopped. If youre selling for more than 125-150.00 youll be holding for a loooong time again
  15. MOS18 is a very common 9.8.. 1113 on the census with 5 9.9s. Still, the trailer had a profound impact on fans of the character, enough to create escalation in price with sellers. Temporary? Only time will tell
  16. Wow! Ive never seen so much enthusiasm like with Doomsday tonight.. over 50 transactions for MOS 17 & 18 most of them in the 100s - in less than 2 hours!!
