  1. Absolutely. It's a reflection of how the market acts today as a whole
  2. You weren't the only one. Actually before the Cult hit there was also The Killing Joke which was an overnight success, although prices weren't as high as TDKR it was still up there.. The Cult was definitely highly speculated. Too bad they massively overprinted
  3. And yet again this thread proves that everyone does things differently. Imagine that
  4. Thank god no one figured out yet kav is my shill account
  5. You handled them all tho. That was a remarkable first appearance!!
  6. That thread was epic. The sale, not so much
  7. I guess I should've read through the thread 😁
  8. Any cover contribution to this thread should rightfully receive a sad face instead of a like
  9. From eBay.. like.. all day everyday this book needed a correction... BADLY And not because of a movie announcement. Just because it's been grossly overlooked all these years. Think of what Eternals are going for now JUST BECAUSE of a movie announcement. Shang Chi is on the same level as Iron Fist, Ghost rider or Moon Knight. Movie or no movie. These are b level properties which had long runs and a slew of appearances in the marvel universe. Now ask yourself.. how the heck is its first appearance selling for pennies compared to those other b class characters????? The movie announcement here simply brought the character to light
  10. Happy days!! SME15 was an easy spec book for me. Been hoarding them for a couple of years now.. you mean to tell me a bronze book featuring a first appearance of a popular marvel character selling for 30-50$ in VF-NM all this time?? please tell me you don't have at least a dozen of those in your stock
  11. Yup I got all jumbled up when I saw it... I remember when this book was dubbed 1st Dave Stevens work back in my copper years of collecting (from Chuck), It was on my radar back then as it is now...

  14. Ok this is not Stan's but I think you'd agree it certainly belongs here
  15. I actually wanted it for the #4 ronin variant. I had one which I sold for 150 a few months ago and that made me look for another one. Ronin & Sentry are properties with a lot of promise so gonna hold on this set for awhile
  16. 17. So Ive been watching this listing for awhile... Of course, even at the entry price of 200.00 this was a great deal, but I still had to ask, so I offered him 150.00 for the lot, he rejected it but countered with 175.00, and left it there... a few days ago, when eBay had a %10 off deal, I had to strike.. Total was 182.50 with shipping https://www.ebay.com/itm/New-Avengers-Lot-CGC-9-8-VARIANT-COVERS-1-5-7-8-6-9-4-AND-MORE/253985582065

  19. I've been a music fanatic all my life. Till this day actually, only difference is that nowadays I'm only involved in the music field in the executive side. I've been buying records, producing music and DJing for about 2 decades, but throughout the years, I never purchased a record, a turntable, a vintage mic, compressor, a digital converter - ANYTHING - for the purpose of collecting. It was always for the sole purpose of using it for creative purposes and advancing my career. Even when I decided to sell my entire vinyl collection in 2015, I never had any second thoughts nor sentimental value for the lot. So strange, since my obsession with comics is entirely devoted to the collecting aspect.
  20. In general, tpb do not behave like comic books in terms of value when it comes to 1st or later prints, they only gain value if they are OOP (and in demand of course), so regardless if it's 1st or 10th print, they will be of equal value for the reader
