  1. No offence but that remake sucked balls. Uggg such a poor remake IMO.
  2. First graded bunch of books of the day versus last bunch of the day on tired eyes. You do the math.
  3. Is Toontown in San Diego? hang out at the gaslamp quarter on a Friday night in San Diego. They still make gaslamps?
  4. -1 E.S is what ruined this book not Nate. Says another Nate....Nate's unite form the head! -1 (or +1 I'm confused ) Im also excited to see this return. Victories over mental illnesses of any kind are so much more important than release schedules or big headed writers. I think this is great news! (But I'm biased as a mental health professional (thumbs u ) I can't criticize another Nate so I'm giving him a pass and hope he's doing better. Nate powers activate! Wait a cotton pickin minute!!! You're a "NATE" as well.....aaaaaaaaaaaaargh! Are you THE "Nate"? Or are you Neo-Nate? It all fits now. I'm Natevegas baby!

  7. I aggree and another point I'd like to make here. None of these writers and artists can or could keep up with the regular scheduling of the big 2 back in the 50's, 60;s, 70;s or even early 80;s/ Books that were monthly came out monthly = no breaks = no vacations = no excuses. Now saying all that I do think there are talented teams out there that put out good work but lets face facts they can't keep up to a schedule at all of what us older than 30 used to expect and appreciate on a regular schedule. Did writers and artists have some superpowers to put out consistent, great product month after month like Kirby, Lee, Ditko, Sterrenko, etc ? Or are the expectations lowered today versus then?
  8. I doubt he'll do so now that the policy has changed. I don't understand why people take this stuff so personally, he has an opinion and he shares it, I think that is worth while even if I disagree with him. I'd rather have someone willing to put it on front street than just smile and tell everyone what they want to hear. Anyway... I will definitely pick this back up if it actually happens - I know a lot of people here fired a lot of shots at Nate and ES over the way the original delay was handled, but I actually respected the fact that Nate wasn't thrown under the bus once I actually heard the reason behind it all. I was perfectly fine with it, everyone should be entitled to that level of privacy if they're struggling like Nate was / is, even if they are a content producer. I've had people close to me suffer from similar mental health problems and, despite some of the comments I've seen in this thread, they are absolutely no joke. It is this simple, E.S created a stink fest about his dislike of variants and the secondary market and then he remained quiet and stopped giving fans of the book any information about what was going on. Those 2 things cooked his goose IMO.
  9. Well no more shop variants from Image but yes I agree.
  10. Now that is an awesome cover and I'm glad I'll be there to get this one. Outstanding!
  11. If good stories and short printed books were all that it took to make books heat up, we'd be spending a lot on Image comics other than just TWD and Saga. Exactly. A book like this brand new and not really a key by standard definitions is already 15 plus on ebay yet some great image books sit in bins at 6 or 7 yeah doesn't make any sense. Take EOW 1 roughly 50 k print run and I bet this Black Votex is around the same number so it can't be the print run argument.
  12. Its because Silk is cool on her own without all the gimmicky variant covers each issue to keep the hype machine rolling.
  13. Move ticket buyers doesn't equal comic book collecting. There I said it.
  14. stu·pid st(y)o͞opəd/adjective adjective: stupid; comparative adjective: stupider; superlative adjective: stupidest 1. lacking intelligence or common sense. "I was stupid enough to think she was perfect" synonyms: unintelligent, ignorant, dense, foolish, dull-witted, slow, simpleminded, vacuous, vapid, idiotic, imbecilic, imbecile, obtuse, doltish Well... Barf. I just dropped Batman from my pull list, and he is my favorite fictional character of all time. WTF DC? What... The... ? And don't tell me to give it a chance, because I won't, . I now have zero DC books on my pull list. I'm on the same side of pulls with no marvel going forward too. Guess Indies will be getting my love and my dollars.
  15. Cart before the horse. This reminds me of the 90's.
  16. This is just uggg. Is the artist even trying?
  17. This one was pretty bad IMO Jazz hands anyone?
  18. Valiant is killing off all of its characters and it leads into it. But its like a "we're going into the future and showing their deaths and who would replace them / take over the mantle" type of future. Links into the Book of Death ect. Summer of Valiant starts now I guess. Isn't the big 2 sorta doing the same thing? This reboot must be a new and creative idea. I kid.
