  1. 9.8 was $150 last night, now it's $250. Give it a few months and watch them skyrocket when folks catch on how rare 9.8s are due to polybag process. I had 30 sealed copies and the best I got was a 9.4. There's a reason why the census on this book has so many 9.6, 9.4 in relation to 9.8. I just opened 4 copies that where in the poly bag still and everyone has front and back cover dings. really shocked and kinda dont wanna open anymore of my stash, I was about to prep them for to send out for SS now dunno if i want to. I have been telling that on the boards of books in general sealed in those polybags yet most disagree. That plastic they used provides little protection and if old turns yellow and brittle.
  2. Is something supposed to happen with Miles? http://www.nydailynews.com/entertainment/marvel-inclusion-biracial-spider-man-article-1.2265591 I always thought that they should've moved onto a more Modern age Spider-Man. Kinda like how DC did with the GL's over time (Alan Scott, Hal Jordan, Kyle Rayner) --- They don't have to kill him though. This whole Renew your Vows storyline should push for Peter to retire or become a mentor only coming out as kinda a stoic figure. Maybe a one last Hurrah to save his family and realize that maybe the greatest power is leaving the responsibility for a younger hero as leaving your family behind without a father is selfish. Let Peter's story and character age while making way for a new age and play-out for the Spider-man mythology. Only problem is this last Spider-man reboot Peter is young, while not as young as Miles fairly close. Marvel probably will do that for a while. Make him lose his powers and age fast like Steve Rogers. Reboot, rehash, rinse, and repeat. All new and all now.
  3. I recall it was hard to get them in LCS here too but just about all the issues were 10-15 bucks online for quite a while. That was a brief window of opportunity.
  4. Welcome to modern speculation on the hopes of a TV show. Just wait till it turns into Sixth Gun and watch the wheels fall off... This book took off way before a tv deal was in the works to be fair. I couldn't disagree more. Before the second issue even came out this was posted in the thread: While a lot of the discussion was initially on Larry's Phantom Program (surprising), it quickly turned to show speculation. Then again before the second issue came out, the EnormousComic guy came on here and said: I'm sorry, but it has always been about show and Phantom speculation. Larry pushed it at first, then the show news came running in and the book got a bit more popular. I also find it concerning that in almost a year, only 7 issues have come out. Books without consistent schedules traditionally drop in sales. People look for it the next month, and if they can't find it they forget about it. Also look at sales: First (July): 4,618 Second (Aug): 2,244 Third (Aug): 1,847 Fourth (Oct): 3,906 *Fourth in Nov: 4,636 *I guess this is another variant or is this issue 5? Fifth: I can't find numbers on number 5? Sixth (Feb): 3,774 Does this really look like a book that "Took off"? Sales never surpassed the first issue and it has the most inconsistent schedule I've seen in some time. It looks like a Bendis book. That one episode machima was out yes but that wasn't part of the "TV Deal it currently has with New Regency and Fox: Yes Larry posted a lot about it but that can only get eyes on something for a little while. The story and art are much better than anything the big 2 are putting out and rank up to the top of my pile along indie lines too. I noticed you made a slight dig or mention about wait till the wheels fall off like Sixth Gun and that makes me think you lost on money on Sixth Gun in the past? If so this might explain the thinking that this and every title that gets optioned will go that route.
  5. I hope you said that in the honest trailer guy voice.

  7. Auctions are just a good way top give your books away unless it happens to be the hottest book on the market right this second. +1 Words of wisdom.
  8. Exactly another midwesterner here and when you say Five Below I instantly think of winter.
  9. It deserves it for sure. A great series IMO
  10. A complete reboot? Reminds of the New 52 by DC So far Secret Wars has been NOTHING like the New 52. Marvel is embracing their characters history & creating solid continuity to allow a new entry point for a new generation. I love it. Isn't that the same excuse for every new #1 from Marvel Now to the All New Marvel Now? I wonder how long that new entry point gimmick will last. Spider-Gwen was on #5 wasn't it and now its getting another #1? Totally unnecessary IMO.
  11. I remember hearing this rumor a while back when Sony got hacked. There were some hacked related info about a Aunt May spinoff movie too.
  12. Yeah, at least it wasn't Renew your Bowels. Which would have been way more tough. Looks like it was fixed. But spelling and grammar mistakes happen. When you're in a hurry, trying to be furst to post, sometymes you can mayek masstakes. Myyatt Deymon! Ok, now you're just being ridiculous. There's NO need for that first comma.

  14. At least he painted his nails to match his pant color.
  15. This is because its so hard for new readers with their limited attention spans to be more likely to jump aboard with a fresh new #1. Yeah I couldn't type that out with a straight face.

  17. Ruin no. But negatively affect, most definitely yes. See the recent censorship of cover art for evidence of this. Censored art is art you're not allowed to see. That art wasn't censored. You can see that art anytime you want. Anyone who thinks we live in some kind of censored society is showing just how culturally out touch with the real world they truly are. Censorship is real. People are being told to sit down and shut up on a regular basis. If they protest the racism and bigotry slurs follow to make sure that person sits down and shuts up. The days of freedom to think, feel, and say what you want are numbered.
