  1. I don't mind holding Batman comics, especially this arc. It will always sell and appreciate IMHO. Agreed. This is one of those "once a decade" runs that really matter in the long run. People won't forget these and they will likely always be in demand. So far Snyder has three of the "once a decade" arcs in the first 40 issues IMHO - Court/Night of Owls; Death of the Family; and this one. And don't forget Snyder's "Black Mirror" storyline in Detective Comics before that. Knocked it out of the park on his first at bat. I like what you did there....at bat... (thumbs u (2000 posts!)
  2. Yeah heard from a friend big spoon up on the twins history in MU. Big complete changes just to fit the MCU. Thanks Marvel for taking a dump on long term comic fans and x-men fans.
  3. It's a $5 book + tax - you buy 10 for $52.70 They're actually selling on eBay for $8.99 to $9.99, so let's say you luck out and sell them all for $9.99 - $99.99 minus what you paid = $47.29 minus eBay fees of 10% (-$9.99) = $37.30 minus Paypal fees (-$$2.74) = $34.56 not quite 3X your money.... You forgot postage too.
  4. I am sure it also contributes to the USPS going in the red every single year. I know we would all be screwed if the USPS ceased to exist or didn't provide free priority packaging anymore. Just pay for the Priority Mail service or use old boxes that came to you, diamond mailers, Uline boxes/mailers or something else if you are going first class. We would ALL be screwed, indeed. 49 cent letters? Gone. $5 Priority packages? Gone. $20 overnight packages? Gone. Those who have priced UPS and FedEx for their services will understand. Not everyone gets a corporate discount, either, and if the USPS vanishes, so will those. Then you'll be paying $300 for your overnight package. Nope another private sector company will easily take USPS place and do the job faster and more reliable to boot.
  5. Diversify I think is the key here. Don't put all your eggs (comic books) in one basket (long box)
  6. So you are saying we need Dana Carvey to supply us with disguises?
  7. They most likely pulled them back. Wait a day or so with a new 10 dollar price tag on them.
  8. Weeks of delays you sure it was printed more heavily?
  9. Speaking of combo packs (haha), I picked up my Superman Unchained #1 to bag and board it better and the polybag tore apart. Luckily it's a great copy but I RARELY take books out of the original packaging if that's how the book is bought. Ah well. Curious, what do you think it would grade? I keep hearing stories about combos being poorly handled at the factory stage Give it a few years of sitting in long boxes getting smashed. You should see the x-force #1's I see at lcs over the years and you'd be lucky to find one NM out of 100's.
  10. This is better than a hug. No look fist bump to Enormous!'
  11. Because some people regard it as the 1st appearance of Adam Warlock, though it's years before the concept of Adam Warlock was even thought of. Go with Marvel Premiere #1 and now, back to moderns heating up... It's the first (full) appearance of the character. Whether the character evolved or not doesn't change that fact. The first appearance of Hank McCoy is X-Men #1. That he became "furry beast" in Amazing Adventures #11 doesn't change that. But Hank McCoy was always a mutant and a member of The X-Men, that part didn't change when he got furry. Better example might be the 1st appearance of Jean Grey / Marvel Girl is X-Men #1 yet X-Men 101 is the 1st appearance of Phoenix, as noted as such on CGC labels Lee & Kirby's caveman and Roy Thomas's and later Jim Starlin's Adam Warlock are essential 2 completely different characters, or 3 different characters if you prefer +1 (thumbs u
  12. She's a strong latina woman...my money in a fight would be on her everyday of the week my friend. (thumbs u 5'5 < 120 lbs. I wouldn't want to test her. Her first role she trained for 5 months at an actual boxing gym for the role.

  14. If its bubble wrapped and tapped up well those thick cardboard comic mailers are better than a priority box IMO. Those priority boxes can be crushed, trust me had a few already. It wasn't bubble wrapped. There was a piece of regular paper (receipt / statement) and the comic book and that is it. Wonders it it was a folding comic book mailer or just a regular envelope mailer?

  16. X-men started with regular human beings that had x genes thus making them mutants. Professor Xavier put a team together and called them the X-Men. I don't give a what Marvel's think tank thinks is cool, hip, trendy, instant, breaking down barriers whatever. This is the origin and its a slap to all older readers / collectors out there to say now they are not mutants. Stop insulting my intelligence Marvel its not working.
  17. This is why I get less Marvel books and soon will not be picking up any new issues. Diversity for the sake of diversity for the sake of saying hey look we are all championing diversity is incredibly fake. WTG Marvel.
