  1. When Cable carries several books at once, has a pile of teenagers chasing his merchandise, has the No1 Film currently at the box office and has both teenagers and the parents of teenagers talking about how much fun the movie was then I will believe.(It was hilarious for those that haven't seen it yet.) They cant wait for a sequel. I enjoyed Cable in the 90s. I loved his NM run. He fell apart for me when they couldn't decide what he actual was. His origin was so messed up I stop trying to figure it out. I could see him being the "serious" sidekick to Deadpool and that's about it. If Fox makes him the main hero versus Apocalypse then he has a chance. Its about the only way. Let them continue to drive NM 87. It does have a nice flippage value for a little while. Long term is filled with more risk tolerance then I would want as either a collector or flipper. Shrugs at all your criteria here. Gambit is still popular and he had solo series that didn't last very long. Same thing can be said about Fantomex or Groot, etc. All it takes is a character to make an impression on someone for the first or 200th time, appear in a well done movie and boom the character becomes pop culture. I've said this before and I'll say this again Deadpool wasn't know to the masses 2 weeks ago outside of comic book readers or the genre. Guardians of the Galaxy wasn't either yet they appeared in a movie and now look at their importance. A character doesn't have to have quantity of current titles to fit being popular. Will NM 87 top 98? Probably not but its darn close to it right now and we'll all see what happens with the Deadpool sequel.
  2. Plenty to go around People wait too long to grab it then boom.
  3. Yes, want to put a wager on it? Me too I am quite sure it wont. Speculators can manipulate and push the price, but they wont see NM 98 prices with any consistency. There were still 200 people last night in the theater for Deadpool. It got an applause ending. Several people asked on the way out who is Cable? He just wont have the mainstream effect Deadpool has. Don't get me wrong he will pull some decent coin for a long time now, but not Deadpool money. I think both will do very well for a long long time. I could see them in multiple movies together crossing over into the x-men movie universe. As far as the movie crowd not knowing who Cable is to me is about the same reaction about Deadpool a couple weeks ago. I was watching the Superbowl with friends (mixture of ages) and very few knew who Deadpool was. I remember just recently my parents asking me about him. I think now he'll be a household name but he wasn't before this film. Same will be said about Cable soon. When Cable has his own Video Games, Merchandise and multiple series like Deadpool I will believe it. Otherwise he is just supporting case. The only way I can see it happen is if they Tie in Apocalypse somehow which can drive his popularity some. So a character is only big if they are in a solo video game, limited solo series by themselves currently? That would eliminate a ton of A-listers in Marvel's bullpen right now.

  5. I dont see it. Cable doesn't have what Deadpool has. Teenagers don't a care about Cable they love Deadpool. Right now its just speculators gambling. Cable was a thing before Deadpool was and was a instant fan favorite. If you were a x-men fan at that time he's a key character. Besides its not teenagers who are buying many of this 200 plus dollar books anyways. The millennials don't have enough scratch to speculate on much these days anyways and aren't old enough when he busted on the scene.
  6. It will be patient. Most still don't know its Deadpool's second appearance and with that mostly black cover NM is harder to find than what is selling on ebay. I see 10 to one in barely VF shape IMO selling. Plus OG didn't have that info about this book for years so it was back issue dollar fodder.
  7. You mean how a team of world-class highly-trained special forces vets can spend five seasons never once hitting anyone they shot at? About as accurate as Stromtroopers I'd say. At least Stormtroopers were able to take out Aunt Beru and Uncle Owen...sure they were seniors...but their body count is infinitely higher than the A-team. They were unarmed and in close quarters inside that house. Not like you can miss from point blank range right?

  9. On a 5.00 book? If you charge them shipping sure rather than the hassle of flimsy envelop getting bend up in the mail box and then refund money to the buyer. Flimsy? 2 ply of cardboard is as sturdy as your mailer box. Just not as fancy work with me here.. even if i get 1 out of 20 damaged (which I wont with 2 plys), on a .75 investment book which I have plenty off I dont mind sending a copy for free to any damaged one on my dime and get a buyer happy something tells me that still wont make sense to you tho It does and if you sell a ton of 5 dollar or under books I could see the risk / reward. The superiority of the sturdy comic book mailer is this. 1. fits inside most mailboxes / apartment boxes (versus large envelopes do not and are stuffed inside) 2. If tape is used properly its a 3 plus layer cake that provides better protection when tossed around in the back of the trucks. 3. Cuts down on returns IMO.
  10. There is power ranger hype? Didn't know..= The green ranger comes to comic con every year!
  11. On a 5.00 book? If you charge them shipping sure rather than the hassle of flimsy envelop getting bend up in the mail box and then refund money to the buyer.
  12. How about comic book mailer that isn't easy to bend at first class for 4 or less?
  13. 2 plys of cardboard in an envelope I can just feel the bending the post man will do to it.
  14. At $2+ profit, it may be time to start looking for that retirement home. $20 seems a bit high. But it could be. Alias and Cable & Deadpool MGC's go for $15. I see them selling for $2-3, where's the flip profit here unless you are charging $8 for shipping? I can't imagine that was all they sold with a $1 cover though, unless shops don't want to bother wasting the shelf space for a 50 cent profit. I know that its more cool and sexy to move a 30 dollar book at 90. But that doesnt happen every day. NM98 true believers is as sure a 3x profit book as that 30 book with tenth the wait time Yea, but you are talking about packaging 30 books a day to make $60 compared to one book. How much time is that right there? Most of these are multiple quantities. You can even see some lots on the Bay that moved at that ratio and some for alot higher. Again. This is an EXTREMELY easy AND convenient flip! btw.. A 5.00$ sale on Amazon is 9.00 with shipping. Minus 2.60 shipping and 1.00 Amazon fees and cost of .75 a copy youre looking at 4.65 profit. And as was mentioned earlier, with Amazon, when you buy multiple quantities shipping is still 3.99 for each added copy. Buyers are aware of that and order regardless. Sellers here are so old school with eBay one day they will wake up and realize how the Amazon machine is much more efficient with modern non keys and TPB and the party will be over for us I call BS on this one. I've ordered multiple copies of a new book and amazon does not protect the buyer at all but the way their system is set up it gauges the buyer. Only had one or 2 sellers give me a discount but the handling and ridiculous shipping turned me off big time. I'll give you an example. This was a book at 6.00 each copy for a total of 60 dollars plus shipping. Item(s) Subtotal: $60.00 Shipping & Handling: $39.90 Total before tax: $99.90 You tell me that was a good deal? I think not. Amazon may be great for sellers but horrible for buyers buying multiple comics.
  15. Only if Amazon finally became the modern tech darling and figured out how to charge for multiple comic books for the buyer without charging gigantic handling and shipping multiplied. It seems ebay is miles ahead of them on that front.
  16. Real zombies keep going after human flesh and not fall for the insect bright light fire trick.
  17. Looks like that bike on the right is fairly salvageable. Daryl could get a ride back.
  18. Overall, the story telling copped out where they should have stepped up and stepped up in the least logical ways and only at times and with resolutions that were most convenient. They are getting very "redshirt-y" with characters going down and it's sapping the tension from what made those earlier season episodes so great. Perfect assesment, Chris. I was really looking forward to this episode and now after watching it, I was kind of left feeling "Meh". Not only did they gloss over Sam's whining at the end of the previous episode, but let's be honest, they kind of wrote themselves into too many corners with the amount of zombies they filled the town with. Not that we should be looking at this from a realistic point of view, but Sam starts whining again, gets bit, his mom starts screaming, gets bit. Rick starts to freak out, nothing happens, Carl is calling for Rick over and over and no Zombie moves up to bite him. Glenn gets completely surrounded and Sasha and Abraham unleash a hail storm of machine gun fire into the hoard that has him backed into the wall and Glenn comes away unscathed again? I can't even get into the hack and slash zombie-a-thon at the end. Plus, when did the Walking Dead Zombies turn into the Cy-Bugs from Wreck-it-Ralph? Its a television adaption of a event that happened in a comic book. Would you prefer the version in the book as more realistic? If someone feels after watching that episode I just don't know what to say other than nothing is perfection. If this was a movie where they had tons of capital and time to do everything right then yes I'm sure even then someone could find a comb to pick out all the flaws.
  19. Just admit already that the dumpsters in Boston are cheap junk and those in the south are solidly made with a one foot clearance! I thought for sure that Glenn was going to die again. Like an oh, you thought he lived, well he did but only to save Maggie...num num. I was ok with the flash scene, it was symbolic of the pure rage mode they were in. The eye thing was well done, but that was still a sad scene having the mom watch her son go like that. I liked her character and the actress as well Glenn's 9 lives will run out soon enough. RIP Maybe those dumpsters are made to hold up over time do to water backing up in sewers in different regions? Or maybe hideouts for small critters. haha
  20. The fireball would be quite a lure. Negan is going to be p&&&&&ed off now.
  21. Yep. It was only a matter of time. Been waiting for this one to jump. There is a big reason why too.
  22. Maybe they mixed Dwight and Daryl together and make a Dwaryl?
