  1. Nice! I've walked from there to the harbourfront too many times!
  2. Supercon broke Fort Lauderdale. Local authorities were not prepared for the onslaught.
  3. It's Comic Book Men's Bryan Johnson.
  4. if sales are indeed down, my guess would be that the focus of the show and majority of attendees are there for the pop culture/non comic book stuff. i know if i was still actively collecting, i wouldn't want to wade through 124,000 (of the 125,000) attendees to try to find golden age comics that would likely be a bit pricier than normal because of table prices, travel, etc. the fact that the focus has shifted away from vintage comics has convinced some long time comic book collectors (some of whom have posted in this thread) to skip it as not worth the hassle. i'd be in that boat.
  5. I'm confident anything I was really interested in would be priced "aggressively" as they say. Can't do it!
  6. i had a nice copy when i was putting the more fun run together. i got rid of all of them except the 52, 54 and 55. i can't remember who got the 73.
  7. Posted mine earlier in this thread. My favorite issue of The Arrow.
  8. On the look out. They will be found!
  9. I still personally prefer a Marvel Comics 1 to a Cap 1 today. Especially an October. Value aside. Just personal preference.
  10. I don't wonder. Cap 1 is awesome. And I said earlier it was the first mainstream appearance of the Sub-Mariner, expanded from MPFW.
  11. Yes. Them. Phenomenal, significant characters regardless of what is currently going on with them. No GA Human Torch, no Johnny Storm Human Torch (and probably no FF). Not that that has any impact on the character's coolness from 1939 through the end of the golden age.
  12. The first appearance of The Human Torch, and first mainstream appearance of Sub-Mariner (with the story from MPFW expanded by four pages) both in one comic, and the first of the publisher, seems extremely significant to me. I want Detective Comics #1, because it's Detective Comics #1. If I wanted the first of the publisher (which I do), I would be going after New Fun #1. But it can't hold a candle to Marvel Comics #1 in my eyes because of the reasons I gave above.
  13. Thanks! I think I used my phone (Samsung Galaxy S5) then uploaded the image to Mediafire.
