  1. A Centaur group I posted several years ago.
  2. Welcome and congrats! Great book. Gotta get some raw gold to read and smell next. That'll really hook ya.
  3. Amazing Man 15 was the first Centaur I ever bought. I think it was $12 in VG, mail order, from Sam Frazer. Late 70s, early 80s.
  4. I don't recall if I've previously posted this issue. One of the few Timely's I've held onto over the years.
  5. Let me add, comparing the relative significance of the Fantastic Four (or Fantastic Four #1) in any way, shape or form, to Superman (or Superman #1) is off base. Spiderman and the X-Men (and probably many others) have been far more popular than the FF for a very, very long time (well prior to the Marvel Cinematic Universe).
  6. Thanks! Yes, a full page ad for Marvel Mystery Comics (six panels I think), by Carl Burgos. Plus Simon and Kirby illustrations throughout the pulp.
  7. Okay, so not actually a comic book. But, a 1940 Human Torch appearance, and I've been meaning to pick one up for a while and finally bought one:
  8. And, although I don't collect pulps, I'm a huge fan of Timely, the Human Torch and Simon and Kirby, so I've been meaning to buy one of these for years. Again, happy to find one in decent shape, nice colors, full spine, no trimming, etc. Marvel Stories, November, 1940:
  9. Finally arrived! As some of you may or may not know, I'm not a pulp collector. I've just been (very slowly) putting together the Conan Weird Tales. For whatever reason, this issue proved to be somewhat harder find than the others, I was very happy to buy it in somewhat nice shape. March, 1936, "Hour of the Dragon, Part 4:"
  10. Yeah, tier three is weird for me. Above Flash 1, All American 16, More Fun 52 yadda yadda. But I understand.
  11. I'd like a '39 World's Fair to "fall" to me! Still love that one. A Red Raven, too (if that's fallen off as well).
  12. I just looked at their selection. I'll be watching with interest.
  13. Thanks! You've been posting some great stuff to get this thread going again! I was inspired.
  14. A group shot I posted about 100 pages back.
