Moderns that are heating up on ebay!
cbaileypacker replied to thirdgreenham's topic in Modern Age Comic Books
They must be behind, I got a 9.9 a few months back No, it's not. Different serial #, which makes three now including yours. Man, how far behind is that census? Months behind is not cool. Nothing like tripling the census in 15 minutes.... -

Some days yes, some days no. Send your best offer, and it might be your lucky day... Well it seems odd that you are kind of complaining about skewed numbers but you're accepting what I would term "lowballs". He's the one pricing himself out of the market. Certainly helps my sales. This ^ I would have thought the asking of $200, Almost 2x MORE than the last sale, would have been more of a than the actual sale price Also... http://m.ebay.com/itm/Imagine-agents-1-Detroit-fanfare-retailer-exclusive-/151259214823?txnId=1268207344005 -

I wouldn't call it "lowball" to accept an offer of $10 off last sale of $115, but that's just me. -

Why does eBay not show the "best offer" received price on the completed sales listings when it sells for less than the asking price? http://m.ebay.com/itm/IMAGINE-AGENTS-1-DETROIT-FANFARE-VARIANT-NM-HIGH-GRADE-ULTRA-LOW-100-PRINT-RUN-/321807694078?nav=SEARCH Comic book invest has it "just hit $200" now. Going by how eBay lists it, makes it look like it's heating up, when actually it went down: http://comicbookinvest.com/2015/07/28/variant-heat-check-for-72815/ FYI my actual sale was $100, $15 less than the last sale at time of announcement. Same with my Spectre 54 cbcs 9.8, I sold it for 100 weeks before the announcement, same as last Cgc sale at the time, still says $180 sale in eBay sold listings. I know you can adjust to view actual sale someway, but still very misleading to the public. -

One of the newest marvel books for one of the most classic? Congratulations on your nomination for trade of the century. -

The thought is that this Citizen V moving forward is the John Watkins III version. http://comicbookdb.com/character.php?ID=4563 even CBdatabase does not list a first appearance, but has TB 45 first in the chronological appearance list. I read through 45 and could not find anything Watkins or Citizen V beyond maybe a un-named cameo I may have missed. This one needs actual readership investigation beyond the wiki-marvel whatever listings. -
I have puled 12 from different 5 Below stores Also 6 2nd prints. Don't under estimate how many ANMNPO are at five below stores....nobody is just lucky, these books are plentiful, and not rare.

Valiant announced sales of over 70,000 on the main title (Book of Death #1), so the 1:25 books (Legends of the Geomancer #1) should be around 3,000 copies. http://www.bleedingcool.com/2015/06/30/valiants-book-of-death-1-has-over-70000-orders-valiantsummit/ I'll have to buy a copy for sure. Maybe two or three. Has anybody here read the Geomancer book, that can if anything of importance happens/new characters, Like all the crazy stuff that happened in Book of Death 1, or is it just a lame more-of-the-same spin-off that's rare, but meaningless overall..?... I haven't read it yet, but since it's supposed to be the story of the first Geomancer, it's safe to say that that's one first appearance. Who knows whether all of those cameos in that one image in Book of Death will make a difference down the road. There is a good chance those cameos you mention may be pretty popular. Seeing as how valiant fans put a lot of love into cameos, like some guy playing a saxophone in one panel, a dude showing up on the last page of EW 4, a guy in a white suit boarding a flight, ect. I remember when the pre-unity books were coming out and Valiant always made a "thing" out of doing cameos for most new characters. Back then all those Valiant cameos were hot items, and still are according to recent sales.

X-Men: Apocalypse set for May 27, 2016
cbaileypacker replied to Arsenalherd's topic in The Movie Forum
Yeah, expected at least the proper face with the lined lips and check bones. Kinda his signature, hope they fix that. Psylocke is straight out of the books thou. Maybe she will show up first with a purple perm in big shoulder pad puffy pink Claremont jumpsuit, before turning to this look. -

Luckily, Those boxes keep them pretty well, nice box, nice books. Bad box...well. The two 5th prints were minty fresh 9.8 and should be back end of month. The 4th print came in a box with pretty bad corner damage, luckily, no color breaks so I have high hopes for a good press. Cheers! -

Superman: The Man of Steel #17 & 18 (Doomsday)
cbaileypacker replied to Brandon Shepherd's topic in Copper Age Comic Books
That's awesome! Do you have pictures of the box... I want to know what to look for. You can get them here: All these "doomsday" collector packs are later printings. I have cracked three of these in the last month, one yielded a 4th print MOS 18, and two of them had the MOS 18 5th print. The MOS 18 was the only different book in the packs , all other copies were the exact same print in each pack (JL 69 3rd, sup 74 3rd, adv sup 497 3rd, action 684 2nd, mos 19 2nd, and sup 75 4th print). the only other info I have found is that these were originally distributed through Toys R Us in 1993. Happy hunting, Cheers! -
