  1. Just arrived today. Published in 1958, it's right on the cusp of the Silver Age but I thought you guys would still like to see it.
  2. What a nice display of books! Congratulations! Ultra high grade to boot! You just recieved all of these in one shot? Thanks! Yes, I got them all at the same time. Yeah, the grades are pretty amazing. Five with White pages, three with Off-White to White.

  8. Back to "yellow" covers......how am I gonna get me a #11 like THAT one?....Man, #11 simply is one the best Supes covers EVER (Action or Superman) !!!! I just sold my copy a few weeks ago. you got a heck of a price for it too, but then again, it was a very nice copy. Superman #11 is a favorite of mine as well fish. #11 is a favorite of mine too. One of the first ones I bought.
  9. I love tracing the travels of books. I sold a run of GL's that included that issue to Jamie at Chicago a few years back. Truly a small world. Rest assured, your book has found a good home.
  10. Could be, Ciorac. I bought it from a LCS here in Philly, but the price tag was an old Graham Crackers label, so the book has been around.
  11. Posted this in the group shot thread as well, but hey, this is the Superman thread! Recently added the 13 and 20 to the group.
  12. Here's an updated group shot of my early Supermans. The 13 and 20 are new arrivals.

  16. I love it! Looks beautiful...bright colors and white pages I think that book was in the Comic Connect auction and didn't meet reserve.
  17. Here's an updated shot of my early Supermans with some recent additions.
  18. The best of the best from #2 to #26 in my opinion What better way to start my 1-26 run then! I used to have a nice copy of #11, but I was forced to sell it years ago to pay college tuition. Ah well, I got an education, but the loss of that beautiful Flessel cover still hurts!
  19. Also added about 75 Spirit sections! Redfury's Fawcett and Spirit Sections SALE!
  20. Just arrived today courtesy of our own jkrk! Crimson Avenger...
  21. I just listed a big collection of 35 Captain Marvel Adventures and 2 Captain Marvel Jr for sale at 20% off for board members. Captain Marvel Adventures
  22. I picked up a Spy Smasher #6 a few weeks ago and loved it so much I went looking for more. Here's a Spy Smasher #11 that arrived in today's mail. Love the paratrooper cover. I think someone else around here likes those too. Here's a shot of the first splash. In the first story Spy Smasher investigates "haunted" machines at an American war plant, and this is a pretty cool action shot of him fighting one. Of course the "hauntings" are really trickery by Japanese saboteurs. This centerfold splash I really like. Nice colors, nice layout, and I like the way the flags frame the scene. And the villain, the Man Without a Flag, has a delightfully ludicrous origin story: "I was born on a Red Cross ship on the International Dateline! The Captain was Swedish! My father was German! My mother was American! The Ship flew the Dutch flag! I WAS CLAIMED BY NO COUNTRY! For years a wrangle went on over my citizenship. Then my parents died! The ship went down with all records! And I had no country! NO COUNTRY AT ALL! I was bewildered, lost bitter... So I became the Man Without a Flag. If no country would have me, I would bow down to no FLAG! I sell my services to the highest bidder!"
  23. Whoa, the big guns are out! What a nice looking book, Bill. Congrats! (thumbs u
