  1. I've got a few GA Keys for sale over in the marketplace. Detective 22 and 34, and All-Star 1 and 8 so far. Redfury's Sales Thread
  2. What a great cover. I love the detail in the joints of the robot's fingers. Congrats Bill!
  3. Wow! All these years admiring his work and I've never seen a photo of Baker before! Thanks for posting it!
  4. Very nice, Jeff! I had my eye on that one too. Guess I waited too long.
  5. WOW! Mark never trades me killer books like that. You've just got to keep upping your offers until he can't say no any longer
  6. Oh yeah, and I grabbed this one off Ebay, and it just arrived today. It goes nicely with the other one. (thumbs u
  7. Got this book in a big trade with Esquirecomics. All-Flash is ignored by some, but I love it! I'll probably put a run of them together now that the big one is out of the way.
  8. Picked up this nice Action war cover a few days ago. I think the German soiled his pants!
  9. Rust. It's the woman's name on the cover. (not kidding) I read through some of it on Amazon. I plan on reading it soon. Is the original in b&w? Yes.
  10. I'd like to say "bust", but now that I'm in my 40s and married for almost a decade, probably "dust" is more appropriate.
  11. That is a tough Matt Baker book in any grade. I have a line on a copy local here in Alaska.....what's the going rate for a G/VG in your opinion....been thinking about getting it for years from a collector. Hi Collin I supplied this book to Mark as part of a trade. It's tough to price as so few of them sell. I remember finding one in VG about 7 years ago, and the price was $1000. I passed. For this one, I'd estimate it at $450, plus or minus $100.
  12. You're welcome! Glad it went to a good home! (thumbs u
  13. I've got an All-Star 33 signature series, and Supermans 5, 9, and 12 for sale in the marketplace. Golden Age DCs
  14. And a smattering of Smashes. I can't wait to see the #15 in hand.
  15. Some ComicLink pickups First, one of the great Fawcett WWII covers
  16. IMHO It doesn't look like Baker to me. Did he ever work for Avon? bb I agree. Not Baker, IMHO. Not Baker according to OS also. But it's still a great cover and a nice book. Are the innards as good as the cover? The CGC lable that was with the book says Matt Baker cover. Any way to tell for sure? Ken I think it's Baker. The woman's face looks very similar to other Baker faces, such as the cover to It Rhymes With Lust. Check out the eyebrows.
  17. I've got 9 LB Cole cover books for sale in the Marketplace! LB Cole books linky
  18. Very nice These early Heroics really have nice covers, don't they? And I never would have noticed if not for them being posted here on the boards, so thanks guys!
  19. Nice run. Love the circus cover on #54. And that one seems to be a little scarcer than the others, too.
  20. All great books Fury But this one is It's a really pretty copy. There was a whole pile of All-Stars, and all but this one and the #33 were low grade, taped up, reader copies. I'm glad I looked through them carefully!
  21. All beauties but if I were shopping I would most likely have ended up with the Heroic. Great stuff -- I hope you take a look inside. Jack Read the Supersnipe last night and will be reading the Heroic tonight!
  22. I picked up these beauties yesterday at the Philly Comic Con. For a small show, there sure are some great books in the room. All-Star Comics #33 This is an upgrade from my other copy which is a G- 1.8 (but it is a Signature Series signed by both Kubert and Hasen!) All-Star Comics #53 One more down in my quest for a complete run of All-Stars... Heroic Comics #3 After seeing Ciorac's and others copies of Heroic Comics, I just had to have one! (thumbs u Supersnipe #6 (#1) Another book that made my wantlist after seeing other copies posted here.
  23. I just emailed the seller to see if he knows anything about where the book came from. The seller is from central PA, and Winters was born and raised in the Lancaster PA area. At the time the book came out in the spring of 1941, he was finishing up his senior year at Franklin and Marshall College. That fall he enlisted in the army. So, it's probably a long-shot that it's the same Winters, but the few pieces of info I have do fit. Who knows?
