My first LCS was Comic Kingdom in Detroit, MI. I remember we would always go when my cousin from PA was in town. He was big into comics and helped introduce me to them as well. Probably the first time I went was around the age of 7 or 8. Was always amazed at how many comic books there were. Looking around at all of the cool posters. Unfortunately neither the original nor the sequel (Comic Kingdom II in a suburb) are around anymore.

Can't tell what exactly happened, but damage was above my desk and computer set up. Water spread pretty good. Was thankful I put my books on the shelving about a month or so ago. Could have been much worse.
The only damage was done was to some recent issues purchased but also a recent acquisition of ASM 299 from @ft88 was damaged. Which makes me very sad.
Was pleasantly surprised to see that some books that were exposed but were in bags were well protected.
Happy to say that my "dork dungeon" has been restored to its everyday dorkiness. Thanks to insurance I was able to replace the damaged ASM 299 with a nicely slabbed version. Just waiting for it to arrive.

Now you have to get all the Marvel Team-up's that led up to number 1 of Web. Great run and congradulations.
Thank you.
Hadn't thought about Marvel Team-Ups. I think my next goal is to get my complete run of Marvel GI Joe. I had it at one point, but sold it (seller's remorse big time). Then I may move on to Spectacular Spider-Man.

That was the first Spider-Man book I ever bought, I remember riding my bike to the convenience store at the end of the street and buying it. Congrats on completing your run!
Thanks. Great story. Amazing how these books can bring up great memories.

There were some great cover's in that run, forgive me for not being too familiar with the stories though but a big CONGRATS
It's been awhile for me as well. I am currently taking on the challenge of reading at least the first volume of Amazing Spider-Man. Reading 1-2 books a day during lunch break. Currently have #18 queued up next.

I am happy to say I now have a complete run of Web Of Spider-Man. Thanks to a fellow board member that I got the last piece from. It is a complete run, but it does have a mix of newsstand and direct editions.
Took a little time to chip away and get each, but love the process of scavenging for each one.

23/100 - Which is more than I thought it would have been. Due to it being heavy in Spider-Man, that helped since I majority of my comics are Spider-Man related.

Well at least you know where the pipes are now to prepare... you know silver lining
There were a lot of F-bombs at first but upon reflection I realize it isn't too bad.

I was hoping to hear maybe a recent inspection or insurance. But and by the pics, I suppose the cgc boxes where on the other side of the room to the desk and the caved ceiling, + water?
That is correct. That is why it could have been worse. All of my more "collectible" comics were on the shelves off the floor and on the other side of the room. Was really bummed about ASM 298 considering I just got it and had planned on submitting it. The desk area is where I bag and board my new books. Just happened to have the 298 and a 306 (which somehow survived with no damage thankfully).

Adding my "dork dungeon", as my wife calls it.
I get the basement, where I also have a tv and my gaming set up.
I just got the shelving units and moved all my books into short boxes. That way they can all fit on the shelves and are easy to access (more or less).
I don't have much artwork, yet, but will add eventually.
