  1. If you're 2 and a half months behind you better start shelling out for overtime and weekends. And own more than 2 encapsulating machines.
  2. Mine has been in QC for longer than that. A friend of mine has his a couple days ahead of me, and he is still sitting at graded as well.
  3. Just buy both #8 and #11. There's probably boxes full in every comic shop's basement, or holding a door open somewhere. You can probably even negotiate down to 10 for a dollar.
  4. If Domino is in the Deadpool movie, the correct answer will suddenly become urgent. Maybe they'll put her in it, just so they can drop her in a pool of pancakes.
  5. Put the work in and dig through this thread. The rabbit don't come easy.
  6. Some of these runs that will stand the test of time could be good picks. You just have to pick who you think will be looked upon like Claremont's Uncanny X-Men Run, McFarlane's ASM run, Miller's Daredevil run, etc. Books that gain legendary status and encourage people to hunt down the originals.
  7. We should all just buy Divad's books, file a SNAD complaint and neg the mess out of him. Then we can see if he comes to brag about that.
  8. Saga would require some Game of Thrones level investment.
  9. I'm just going to start randomly adding "HBO TV Series" and "RAPE ISSUE" to all my Ebay listings.
  10. About 6 months ago, I sold two copies for $40 each...one of them was a total borderline 9.8, but I sold it as a 9.6. I didn't want to send it. The buyer gets it...and complains that it's not high enough grade. Stupid eBay. I told them to send it back, I would be HAPPY to refund them. You think I got it back? Whenever I get a message like that, and I tell them I'll be happy to accept a return on the item, I never hear from them again.
  11. I've picked up a number of copies of X-Force #2 over the years, including an initial order of a couple of dozen when it first came out. Many of the copies have a printing defect that almost looks like a very light production crease running diagonally across the cover in different areas. It doesn't show up in scans & sometimes i'll even miss it under a heavy light. Anybody that has multiple copies care to chime in on whether this is common on the book & how it would affect the grade? I'm assuming it is related to the silver foil process used but not sure how to grade an otherwise NM/M book. Silver Foil? None of my copies have foil on them.
  12. I've had the same experience. Have Had X-Force #2 at $5 at shows for months, and they just sit. Might as well sell them online if I can get 10-15. And then in a few months when people at shows ask where all the X-Force #2s are, I can put their head in a vice.
  13. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$ If it was money they would not have turned down the hundreds of requests. There may have been money paid to keep the covers exclusive. I guess but even if that is the case it would not compare to fulfilling the requests. If they accepted every request, all the stores that got a variant would be upset at the number of other stores getting a piece of the pie. They likely had a number in mind for the number of variants they wanted to do, and then chose the outlets that they felt would give them the greatest benefit. That could be a monster order from Midtown, extra buzz about the book at a major con, or a handy from a shop that has a really cute girl working there. Who knows.
  14. The order cut-off for #1 is on Monday. If they are accessible to regular retailers, they better hurry up and announce the details.
  15. I wouldn't be surprised. #4 is the issue shops were able to freely order, after seeing how #1 went. They had to place their orders for #2 and #3 before they even had #1 on the shelf. So if a shop was getting badgered by people about the first issue, they actually had a chance to bump their order for #4. My guess is #4 will be much easier to find than 2 and 3.
  16. Marvel published more Death of Wolverine 1 variants than most companies publish comics. What is the official count on the number of variants for this title? Around the same of most of the recent Image titles Midtown is showing 11 Death of Wolverine variant covers (I don't count any of the signed books) and I suspect more than Midtown has released an exclusive for this book. I know Walking Dead has had a few covers which had a high number of variants. But most of the recent Image titles have? Do you have examples? Wayward had a ton. Between 6 - 8 from what I remember.
  17. It will definitely have an impact if they use some characters from the comics that haven't appeared on the show yet. I haven't been following the development very closely, though.
  18. You're being emotional. How could canceling your entire order for this title benefit your business in any way? You may feel like you're "Sticking it to the man", but it's not improving your business at all. Who knows who made the decision, or why, or what is happening behind the curtain. At the end of the day, that isn't for you to worry about. Your concern is if customers come in looking for this book, and get dejected because you straight up didn't order it. You could lose them to local competition, or even online competition, if they feel they need to go elsewhere to be assured they will find the books they seek. Yeah, it sucks when you have been working on a deal for a while and it falls through. But it happens all the time in business. The last thing you want to do is sour a relationship and potential future collaborations with a vendor.
