  1. Economy Slow Track Received 05/14. 07/23 - Went to Graded.
  2. Looks like they've increased their estimated turn time on Moderns to 45 Days now.
  3. Does anybody know for sure if CGC considers Hush's first appearance to be Batman 608 or 609 by any chance? Or when his first appearance actually was? -J. I think 609 as Tommy Elliot, and 619 as Hush. However, the CGC labels on those books doesn't mention first appearance for either. That's what I thought as well. Though he is on the cover of the 608 RRP. Would that not actually make that his first appearance ? -J. Depends what the print date of the RRP was.

  5. I wasn't following this very closely, but I believe the writer of ZERO had posted something cryptic about it maybe becoming a TV Show. Now there's been an actual announcement that it is officially in development for television.
  6. its a good thing that I waited... finally got a reasonably priced variant I know this may sound strange but.. Are these 2nd prints??? 5 Days after the first print was released? I doubt it.
  7. If East of West wasn't his thing, that's perfectly OK. However, I would personally recommend continuing. It gets quite good and takes a few issues to really get going.

  9. Those recalled Wolverine books are more common than advertised. I used to pick them up when I came across them, but after 10 or so, I realized they were practically every other issue. It wasn't the rarity I was commenting on, but that they had a good reason to recall it. It's a major title with a crazy racial slur that somehow made it to print without an editor saying "This probably won't fly." The Rai book is being recalled because the perforation lines for the mask cut off the ears. Who cares.
  10. It's not like Rai called someone a k*** or anything.
  11. Post -script: A lot of shop owners here have said their Flash back issues have really picked up lately too.
  12. So...is the beef that Green Arrow IS Selling, it's just that the comic store owners are making the money on $1 - 3 back issues and TPBs, but the speculators aren't pulling down coin? I think the relatively complicated publication history can make it hard for people who don't know how to research these things to find a good starting point. Which is where the New 52 comes in to it I guess. I haven't seen a Green Arrow issue below #8 in bins around here in quite some time. I buy #17 on the spot every time I see it. And when I found 5 copies of Arrow #1 (The TV Show book) sitting in a dealer's forgotten box and brought them to his attention so he could maybe put them out where people could find them, he was really excited to see that he had some. Pretty much every time I spend more than 5 minutes in a shop, someone brings up Green Arrow. You can find SO MUCH of it in dollar bins in almost any given comic shop though, that new fans haven't had to pay any kind of premium to get some decent books. If the show continues to be popular and it gets a few more seasons, I think you'll see modest buy steady increases in quality Green Arrow back issues.
  13. Discussions aren't much fun if everyone just stands around agreeing with each other. I am happy to see opposing viewpoints, and to see well thought out posts about why a person may have enjoyed or disliked a book. One person may love the art in this book, other people may find it jarring.
  14. Image are saints when you compare them to the garbage Marvel prints on.
  15. His first appearance is out of reach. I don't know about the copper stuff, but certain modern issues have been doing well. But yes, it is a bit weird. People go nuts for any other books that even just gets optioned for TV. Arrow is an established hit, and not much heat on the main character.
  16. Arrow is a great show for putting under the radar characters on the map. And potentially turning dollar bin books into decent returns.
  17. My LCS said he was able to order more of cover A, but not B. I got the last B at the store, where he had A extra
  18. I like Giant Monster stuff, so I'll check it out if I can find one.
  19. Modern Slow Track Invoice Date: 05/16/2014 Status: Scheduled for Grading (32 Business days) Economy Slow Track Invoice Date: 05/16/2014 Status: Verified (32 Business days) Economy Magazine Invoice Date: 05/16/2014 Status: Graded (32 Business days) So I'm 7 business days beyond the Current TAT in Magazine already. Sweet.
  20. The fact that they're not using a shipping system that automatically distributes the tracking number is absolutely bush league.
  21. really Yeah. I remember getting excited and explaining why to my wife. Kord has definitely been mentioned / shown on Arrow at some point.
