  1. Nice pick, there's a variant too. I know and its pretty ugly, The Finch cover is awesome though. Agree with this.
  2. C'mon now. You can't do that. How will people talk about what comics are hot, if they can't talk about TV shows?
  3. For once it would be nice for someone to come back and say "I got mine back in less time than I was quoted!" It would be nicer still if that person was me.

  6. DAMN IT, I THOUGHT HE WAS GOING TO KILL LAUREL. Because of teasing that he would kill Laurel, and not actually doing it, the highest grade I can give this episode: F+.
  7. Listening to "This Corrosion" as I write this! I'm a fan of The Mission ( u.k. ) also. and The Sisterhood (thumbs u I still hold on to hope that all those unreleased songs will get put out. I hesitate to call it a "New album" since some of them have been kicking around since the 90s.
  8. Also AWAX and cbalroman are on my A+ list.
  9. Yeah, the cover bums me out for sure. It taints the perfection of Dana rocking out in the Temple of Love
  10. they were talking about it quite a bit over in the Copper area.
  11. Dana in a Sisters of Mercy T-shirt
  12. Why is it so hard to believe that a fool and his money are soon parted?
  13. Getting Stan Lee to graffiti a worthless book is one thing. But having him sign a high value book that he had nothing to do with is pretty dumb.
  14. The ever-present Stan Lee signature. People get him to sign anything, even stuff that makes no sense. Like Deadpool books. To my knowledge, Stan Lee had nothing to do with Deadpool in any way, shape or form.
  15. You'd think they would stake the place out for more than 30 seconds. He was careful enough to bury a back-up cache of weapons, but not observe the compound?
  16. Oh great tip! Just checked it out. Definitely makes sense. Thanks. No worries! It is really useful to have, and for free there is no reason not to get one. In the box from the CGC form pictured below just fill out the bottom section about the self-insured FedEx account and FedEx will ship the books and bill your credit card. I like the fact that I know exactly what it costs to ship, rather than paying CGC (or anyone else, for that matter) a flat rate to ship. Piece of cake! Have you found much savings in what you pay directly to Fedex, and what CGC Charges? The savings are quite substantial. 17 books worth 2K shipped back to me by CGC registered mail would be $69. Fedex ground (Make CERTAIN you specify GROUND) was $17. You don't have do this very many times before you have paid the premium on your private insurance. Plus you have the insurance against fire, theft, etc on your collection or inventory. If you search the web, you can also find a couple of places that sell one time insurance on a particular shipment. Timing is everything. You have to purchase the insurance within a day or two of the package being shipped. Or you can cross your fingers and do without insurance. FedEx's loss rate is very low, which is why the private insurance is inexpensive. I won't do that, but it is an option. I'll explore the rates with a Fedex account. The shipping rates for stuff coming back to Canada at CGC's cost are...
  17. I wasn't a big fan of this season. Sure, there was character development and the uncovering of some back story, but it was extremely frustrating when they would devote an entire episode to one small group of people. Realistically they could have compounded some of it, and merged a couple of episodes. There was so much filler in trying to pad an hour devoted to 2 or 3 people. I think the writers were probably stalling to some degree, to make sure the season ended where they wanted it to. That being said, the last few episodes were great, and the season finale was phenomenal. It's up to Carol and Kimbo Slice to save the group now.

  19. $10=40 close to 100,000 x I like that math i figured with that many zeros, it'd be obvious i was exaggerating. has anyone here ever bought one of MCS's consignment items? i assume they sell some, but i can't understand how. Doesnt the owner set the price they want to sell at, not MCS, when consigning? Correct. I have purchased a consignment book from MCS before. Saw it on eBay - at a decent price - then went to their website and bought it 10% cheaper. However, there is still a 3% "buyer's premium" on top of that. That part I don't understand, though I don't run an auction house. So I am being charged 3% to buy an item from MCS who in turn charges the seller for selling an item through them? Double-dipping? It is cheaper than other auction sites and they don't charge Sale Tax. 13% added to the total is for the storage fee (as long as you want). Other auction sites make you wait longer to receive books since they are not in possession of the books. MCS shipping is relatively cheap for raw or slabs if you buy an inexpensive book. The auction house here charges 15% to the buyer and 25% to the seller.
  20. Thanks! Not sure why they gave it a 7.0. Maybe something wrong with the interior? It's a 9.0 all day long. Gonna re-sub it one day and find out. Or just order the grading notes
  21. That's actually a VERY interesting point - Thea is his daughter and if Slade is threatening to harm her he might intervene. Wow so many ways this can go! If Merlyn turns up in Starling City, then R'as Al Ghul might show up as well, which would be a good way to introduce the main antagonist for next season.
