  1. The biggest would be that the slab could easily be accidently cracked and ruined while the book in theory would last your lifetime.  The only exterior slab I have signed is a TMNT issue where the creators signed and drew different turtle sketches on the outside.

Agreed. Season 1 was brilliant. My wife and I enjoyed the entire run, season 1 was the best for both of us by far. Is there any place to stream it now?

The new one doesn’t have a release date yet but if one wants to watch the original it is on Amazon Prime :)

I thought it was fine.  The main issue might have been trying to serve too many masters, with the all legacy characters and the new characters.  They had to dumb it down just to make everything fit, I think.  In particular:

      Hide contents

I have no idea what Bill Murray and Kumail Nanjiani were even doing in this movie except taking up valuable real estate.  The whole subplot about Nanjiani being a "Firelord" was dumb and pointless.  Murray just mugged his way through a few scenes without even being particularly funny.  They had to try and make everyone "relevant" in the big final fight, and it looked very contrived.

I liked the frozen monster design and wish there had been more about it, and that there had been cleverer scheme to free it than the extremely far fetched scenario that actually occurred.

Yes, the spoiler portion is the part of the movie I didn't enjoy, but it was unfortunately a major part of it.  I was not a fan of Kumail or the subplot. It was just silly......   Still worth watching....at home.

No worries.  If you hear a loud roar and the forum starts to shake, you will know that I have been disturbed.

Ikr, we still or "I" may have been a little extreme, but it was in correlation to what he estimated. 1st day viewing in primetime for Imax around here is only $18.75 and that is with tax, but still 2 medium drinks and a reg popcorn is about $22. He was speaking of 4 adults and a child, so double what it would cost me at = $59.

that is only $16 off $75 times 2 lol so it can feel like, "this better be the best movie ever!" regardless lol

This was the matinee price!

Super late to this discussion.. I have an email from Mike.. in Nov 2023 stating he was backed up and would get back to me.  This was from the contact@hrcomics.com account. He has my ASM 15. I know it was disassembled a couple years ago to add a page (that was missing and purcheds seperatly). I know it isn't a huge book but I would like to get it back or some of the money I paid for it.

Currently my emails are going unanswered. I have seen random solutions on this thread. Can someone give me next steps? I think I paid him with my credit card.. but like many of you my preference is to get my book back.. even if it is in pieces.. it took a long time to round up the exact missing page to make it complete (married).

Jeez....he was still accepting in Nov of 2023...  You may be one of the lucky ones that can get the credit card company involved.  I would contact them immediately.  Most don't have that option because it has been years or decades.  Sorry about your ASM 15 :(

  7. It was… ok.  I am not really a fan of Patton or Kumail’s humor. The old cast is brought in simply to satisfy us older fans. Overall it just didn’t progress the storyline too much and some decisions made by Phoebe is not believable.

    I did enjoy

    Spoiler

The return of the library ghost. My kid had just asked me yesterday whatever happened to her and here she was again

    It was interesting that

    Spoiler

Winston is now a rich investor? Did I miss how that happened? Was this to make up for the lack of respect his character was given in the original!

  8. This is what I typed in 2014 about Dynamic Forces when creating the CGC board origin thread.

I discovered the site after first getting into the hobby again after 15 years and making the mistake of ordering "cool stuff" from Dynamic Forces. After waiting 6-8 months for my order to never arrive, I googled Dynamic Forces sucks and here I am :)

  9. I stopped reading new comic books about four years ago. I am trying to catch up on Spiderman now using Marvel Unlimited.  I never thought I would like it in digital format, but the option to have it zoom in each frame shows art details I would miss otherwise.  As much as I love Spidey, I have not enjoyed what I have read up to this point though and I remember why I stopped last time. :(

  10. I loved the first book and even loved the movie even though it was different.  I think they kept the spirit of the book in the movie, but it would have been difficult to do a direct translation.  I found the second book incredibly boring and suffered through it. In fact, I remember nothing about it other than not liking it.
