  1. Just had a similar thing happen to me. I received a book I 100% know is NOT the book I sent in. I submitted 7 books for grading at a Comic Con - 3 of them Sig Series. I just got the sig series books back, and I know for a fact that at LEAST one of the books I received is not the one I submitted. I had Ryan Stegman sign Superior Spidey #1 (Skottie Young variant). The guy at the comic con booth was going to the LA Comic Con next, where Young and Dan Slott were going to be. He graciously asked if I wanted the book signed by them as well. I said yes, paid for 2 additional autographs, and off they went. The book I received only has ONE autograph on it - Skottie Young - who wasn't even at the convention where I had the book signed (again, by Stegman). What's more concerning is that it's been over 2 months and the other 4 books I sent in aren't even showing in they system yet. Two of the books are pretty big keys.
  2. Interesting. I know I have some books like that as well. I assume you leave it folded inside the book?
  3. Not sure where I should go with this, but I submitted 7 books for grading at the Motor City Comic Con on November 11th, 2023. I submitted ALL of the books to be pressed and graded - 4 normal submissions, and 3 that I had signed at the convention. I still haven't heard anything back from my 4 normal submissions, and just received the 3 that were submitted for the Signature Series. Two of the sig series books I received were correct, but one of them was not (Superior Spider-Man #1 Skottie Young variant). While at the Motor City Comic Con, I had it signed by Ryan Stegman. When I was submitting it for grading, the facilitator at the booth told me he was going to the LA Comic Con and could also get Skottie Young and Dan Slott's autographs on it. I thanked him for that, told him I'd do it, and paid for the 2 additional autographs. The book I received only has ONE signature on it, and it's not Ryan Stegman (which I personally got on November 11th). So, this isn't the same book, and it is missing 2 autographs that I paid for. This is only the 2nd time I have submitted books to CGC. Both of them were at booths at the Motor City Comic Con, and both times I have been screwed (the first time was Amazing Spider-Man #129 that I had Gerry Conway sign, then the facilitator got tape stuck to my cover, which as you know resulted in a lower grade). For this submission, I definitely do NOT have the book I submitted, and am still missing 4 books (2 of pretty high value). Where do I go from here? Help, please!
  4. I don't doubt it. When in doubt, I'll put down "C". I guess the CGC equivalent of that would be 5.0?
  5. What books have all 3 worked on? I know Slott and Ramos work together on Spider-Boy, but can't think of any all 3 have worked on.
  6. @aparulekar I'm not sure. Here's the link that was in the email. There are some "packaged" combined requests. There's also instructions on how to submit, so you can probably find out if you start the submission process to see if you can do everything you would like. Let me know how it goes! https://www.cgccomics.com/news/article/12452/Slott-Ramos-Delgado-CGC-Signing/?utm_source=SFMC&utm_medium=email&utm_id=Ramos_Slott_Delgado_SigSeries_Email
  7. I noticed we can text CGC with submission questions. I was wondering if that also expands to graded-related questions? For example, I might see a book I'm interested in, but unsure how something about the book would affect its grade. Would we be able to text a photo and ask?
  8. Just got an email yesterday about Dan Slott, Humberto Ramos and Edgar Delgado being available for signatures, remarks, etc. How does this pricing compare to what you'd be able to find at Comic Cons? I just ordered some Spider-Boy #1 variants, so am interested to hear opinions.
  9. This is awesome! I look forward to posting some books to get an idea on which one(s) to submit. Quick question - is it scans only, or are photos ok?
  10. Cool! I just added that number to my contact list. I don't suppose we can text a photo with a graded-related question???
  11. For those that don't use an app, where do you go to see the key books that come out every week? Or do you just collect certain titles, regardless of what else comes out?
  12. Excellent. Thanks fellas. I'll take a look at those to see how it compares with the features from Key Collector I like.
  13. I haven't heard of that one. Does it also show what the key book releases are every week?
  14. Interesting you're using Excel. I used to use it 25 years ago for tracking everything, but I never kept up with it. I love that you're running graphs for your collections! I really only use it now when I'm headed to Comic Con for my main want list items.
  15. Just a quick note to say hello. Looking forward to hearing some good tips from other collectors! It looks like there's quite a bit on the forums.
  16. I'm curious what app people are using to keep track of their collections, their wishlists, and comic book stuff in general. I came across Key Collector a few months ago and have been using that. Now that I'm starting to get some of my collection graded, I found that there's a limitation of what it will say what the book is worth (only allows a limited # of grades to update the book worth).
