    The nice 8.0 copy on Heritage seemed to go for a reasonable price?

    Like to see the Gladiator in an X-Men movie. There are so many directions they could go. Also, they need to do a Cap Baron Blood movie at some point (but not with the Falcon please). But they would probably make the Baron gay and cast someone like Travolta for the part.

    Kirby is a good choice. Really can’t wait to see this movie, has the potential to be one of Marvels best.

    Goes without saying how great Kirby was but for me his ultra blocky 70’s work was a big turn off.

    Apparently the consigned of the Showcase #4 had acquired it only a few months earlier. I believe he owned the B&B # 28 too and unfortunately took a bath on the resale. If I had to guess he probably bought a lot of books not just uber high grades.

    That did cross my mind too but why sell so quickly unless it’s only the thrill of the chase that drives them most?

    Totally agree. The guy who played Ronan might be a good Galactus voice over.

    Have to agree with the $4,000 - $5,000 range on the Avengers page if you are patient. If this page was on one of the big dealer websites it would probably sell immediately.

    Some mixed results on the comic side with a few of the big ticket books taking a bath.

    I think it had the same effect on the ASM #1 since it wasn’t a lone highest graded copy.

    It’s an old 9.6 so I didn’t think there would be crazy action on it and there is another 9.8 copy out there so that depresses its value IMO.

    Isn’t there 2 9.4 copies on the census? If their was a gap at the 9.4 grade level this would have performed much better.

    Thought the SC#4 would have pulled at least a $1M.

    Would it be too unreasonable to ask how many submissions this guy has made over the last 5,6 years just to get a scope of what we could be dealing with. They don’t have to name names but should probably publicly ban this guy at some point to protect consumers going forward.

    Yeah but we were told that this guy doesn’t do cons so it’s probably not as bad as we think.

    Having cracked out 500+ slabs I’d say that it was very inconsistent.

    Bidders appear to be keeping their cards close to their chest in this auction as its been unusually quiet going into the final day. Either there will be an 11th hour bidding war or some of these books will flame out in spectacular fashion.

    That’s great but it would be nice if CGC spoke more to this issue directly (maybe in time). But I can see how getting others in the industry to chime in saves them from having to admit that there has been a big problem for years.

    So instead of putting in a crisp 9.4 it looks like this guy was getting gready because that copy looks like a 6.0.
