Finally finished this turd of a series. Pretty sad when Hogarth was the best actor in the show. My biggest complaint (that we can all agree on): The show wasn't about Danny, it was about the Meachums. There's SO much great source material they could have pulled from in regards to K'un Lun and the character of the Iron Fist...the writers missed the mark big time, IMO.

Really hoping for a solid ending. Episodes 2-9 were absolutely awful. 10 was pretty solid and I'm watching 11 now. I cannot get over how terrible Finn Jones is as an actor. I just don't buy him in the role at all. Anyone else would have worked...anyone...maybe even Segul. So far my ranking is: 1. DD Season 1: Loved it. Watched it all 4 times. 2. DD Season 2: Solid 3. Jessica Jones: Meh. Repetitive but watchable. 4. Iron Fist: Was hoping for Danny Rand, but got 8 hours worth of a Meechums soap opera starring one bad actor after another. 5. Luke Cage: Flaming hot dumpster fire of a show that I laughed all the way through. Absolute garbage. The only thing worse than the writing was the acting. Only finished for the easter eggs and potential tie-ins to other shows. Would rather lose a toe than watch again. Hopefully IF ends well and surpasses JJ.

Agreed! I'm not understanding the harsh review either. I think it's WAY better than Luke Cage and that had good reviews.

There will never be a "right" answer to the OPs inquiry, we all know how subjective art it. Liefelds art is desirable to lots of people. Youre a talented artist, but your style doesn't do it for me...that doesn't mean it's not good or even great art. When it comes to comics, good art supports the story, bad art doesn't...any other criteria is subjective to the reader, IMO.

So great art is defined by how much it confines to standards? Or how much it resembles the art of the majority? Or how anatomically correct it is? Interesting. I'd never compare the two. Art can be great for different reasons. A narrow definition of good art would make for a boring world.

Welcome to be the boards. Must have been a good post if it pissed someone off enough to post here for the first time. Different strokes I guess. I'm bored to death with ultra-realistic art and rendering. I'll take wild cartoony art any day.

Actually wish there were more Humberto Ramos'. A good artist knows anatomy...but a great artist knows anatomy AND how to bend it.

Finally finished this hot turd of a show. What a colossal disappointment. DD and JJ were top notch, but the acting and writing on LC was a complete joke in comparison. Very disappointed in how they treated Rosario Dawson's character too...is she just gonna jump from super hero to super hero playing the love interest? Incredibly lame and they didn't have to do that. Luke and Claire made a fine platonic team, they didn't have to go full Saved by the Bell with the writing during the last episode. Really hope they do Iron First justice next month.

i know the IW films are going to be a hodgepodge skeleton of the IG comics, but I still get goosebumps whenever I see new promo material about the movies.

At first, I was disappointed that Ed Harris's villain character barely appeared in episode 3. Then I realized there are 2 time lines and this Arnold scientist (Anthony Hopkins's creative partner at the time) may be a young Ed Harris before he put on the black cowboy hat and went on a trail of 'vengeance' within Westworld. But I may be wrong ....

Nope...I generally like everything Marvel puts out there...silver screen and Netflix. Totally agree with AGGIEZ. And CAK, did you ever consider the people who are saying it's awful are saying that because it truly is, and those people can recognize bad acting and poor writing when they see it? Wow, not even worth respondi . . . . ng ....but you did, in a childish manner. If you have something constructive to say please say it. I stand behind my question to CAK, it's ridiculous of him to make broad generalizations about the "type" of person who doesn't like Luke Cage. I'm not agreeing with CAK (in fact, I hardly ever read his posts.) But what qualifies YOU to make this statement: Are you freakin' Lee Strasberg? Touché, I'm definitely not. But I feel pretty confident in my ability to spot subpar acting and writing. Regardless, I'm glad so many people are enjoying it because I really want Marvel/Netflix to keep making these series. I just thought this one was a total dud, but still pumped for Iron Fist!
