  1. if the market corrects, it's sorta expected and it won't impact my buying. If the US economy goes into some sort of prolonged recession for whatever the reason, I'll stay on the sidelines for a hot minute then target GA keys if prices look like they might be trending down or even flat. That said, I did slightly pause in a sorta spooked way when I was plucking down some hefty bids in the cc auction while the nasdaq was correcting but went ahead. For me, there's a bit more emotion involved buying books than other types of investing per say, so I'm a bit motivated by simply wanting something cool and I'll find a way to rationalize it more often than not.
  2. Got two books in the final day. One is SA (mostly because I like Zatanna ) and of course the Subby 1. Maybe he'll show up in Infinity War but I've been looking for a copy for a while in any event.
  3. congrats what a beauty! I was out before a number final bids came in
  4. got the one book today below and made a spirited go at the All Select #4 6.0 which I thought I would go for far less than final hammer. The hunt continues tomorrow.
  5. I picked up the Berk Church copy. There's a small tear on the back cover hence the 8.0. The front looks very high grade like other Church copies. Perhaps it's one of those books that was damaged after it left the Church residence somewhere in the transport and handling over the years, I have no idea.
  6. Prices were pretty strong across the board and I got very few of the books I took a crack at. But I did get this book.
  7. I'm not sure why GPAnalysis couldn't write code to scrape the sales data from the clink comic book results page and manually upload to their site.
  8. when I think of minor, I think of a book like AC64 - first Toyman. That's a pretty damn minor key and a cool book.
  9. man someone really wanted that Ginger #9 7.5. I thought that would be an easy pickup for me.
  10. I'm finally off the sidelines and in the hunt today, just got the Blonde Phantom 19. White Pages!

  12. wish they'd give my wallet a break and not have clink, cc, and HA all run major auctions at the same time right before tax season
  13. Yes, and a good one! Can't complain
  14. how did I miss a Ginger Comics sale today ugh
  15. I think it depends on the books, the moment in time and other tectonic shifts of the earths crust. I had some non-key ultra high grade X-men SA books that I felt slightly underperformed in a few clink auctions I consigned with. Maybe I could have done better on ebay with those books, I don't know. I recently moved a low grade Tec225 in a clink auction and the results did better than expected for me, so again you never know. There's definitely less work involved with clink, so if you're lazy like me that helps. Put all the books in a big box and they deal with shipping them out to winners in the auctions.
  16. A few weeks ago they were shooting on Geary Street in San Francisco at the Edinburgh Castle. I passed by the set of the way home from work and someone said they were shooting in that bar, which is an old SF Irish pub haunt. I thought if they are filming in the there the production designer must be either cheap or lazy because you don't need to add anything to that bar to give it character. It's good as is.
