  1. The Joker stars on the cover by Sprang, introducing "The Case of the 48 Jokers" story inside the issue. Sprang, Bob Kane, and Charles Paris drew interior art for the book. Originally purchased on these boards many years ago. I would describe it conservatively as VG+ and potentially on the borderline of VG/Fine. For pricing purposes listing the book closer to the VG+ value. The interior of the book is really exceptional - flat, clean and with no disruptions - almost as if the book has been unread. The flaws are mostly in the cover. The slight tear (in the pic) by the upper staple and the bottom staple is no longer secured to the book. But overall, a very nice showing copy with great colors on the cover. Terms: -Shipped USPS Priority mail from California, shipping included in the price. Sorry, book is only for sale in the US -No returns -Check or Paypal accepted as only means of payment -First take in thread gets book or if sold before by PM and marked after agreement in thread prior -Time must be received within 48hours of purchase PRICE $1550
  2. I don't know but I suspect new buyers, not old men like me haha
  3. I've been a fan of this book for a while and this record breaking price realized today seems to signal the book has finally arrived, after being one of the most undervalued keys for years. I do wish I could have picked up this copy but my budget was way under the price realized.
  4. When in 2022 will CGC launch video game grading services? While I am excited about this, none of the press releases have been specific about when this service will be available and other information such as which platforms will be supported upon launch has not been noted. While I mean no disrespect by this comment (long time member here) it feels like I have been reading marketing press releases and no actual concrete plans.
  5. Target in San Francisco now closes at 6pm. Apparently this was a measure put in place due to a rise in theft, or so they claim. So anyone that works during the week has a hard time getting there before they close. When you do get there, and shop in Electronics for example, there is one salesperson serving the entire area. There's so real system, so either you find that person or you don't. They are usually lost in the aisles trying to help someone get something out of a case. Bottom line, Target is a joke. It's a joke when it's not the Holidays, and it's worse now.
  6. Behold. A 10.0. I've never had a 10 in my collection, or a 9.9 for that matter. So when I had the chance, I went for it and got this book off clink
  7. Hello I'll take one copy (the first x1002) - thanks
  8. so much misinformation here I frankly don't know how to respond. I did laugh though.
  9. I have not sold art before on the boards but I've sold and bought a lot of books. Here's a unique piece. Ink on paper, measuring 17x14 inches an original Sienkiewicz drawing in ink of the Joker. Purchased this piece at the Galerie Daniel Maghen in Paris and the COA will be included (note Bats is also on the COA and is not included). I understand this piece was executed live at ComicCon about 5-6 years ago. Asking $1,400 shipped (in a tube), anywhere in the US. Sorry, the piece is not offered for sale outside the US. Paper has a few light creases around the edges and a small nick on the upper left corner. I think this is owing to the fact that the paper is pretty thin. It's a unique piece and candidly, not sure how to price it. Given it's the Joker and Bill, it deserves somewhat of a premium. There's some shadows in the pics I took. I accept PP or personal check. First take in thread gets the piece. Thanks
  10. Does anyone know if this book has ever been offered before? I could not find any prior listings. Curious to know if we know anything about any history of the book or provenance. I can't afford to bid but I'm curious!
  11. Karl Jobst who created this video is not a journalist - this is not reporting. He is a social media influencer that is represented by an agency that handles media influencers. Here is his profile: https://www.linkedin.com/in/karl-jobst-5991a111b/ I just think we need to take with a grain of salt what is actual journalism held to standards such as verifying sources and interviewing credible people as opposed to someone that is a youtube influencer looking for subscribers, engagement and ad revenue that has zero experience in journalism.
  12. What Deniz Kahn, founder of Wata games, has been accused of in this video as "fraud" would in another industry, like tech or finance, be called "marketing" - and likely would be a good case study of it the Harvard Business School. That said, all of these players at Heritage or Wata, in comparison to what happens with institutional investors, pundits on Bloomberg or CNBC, hedge funds etc on a given trading day are all saints compared to the professional crooks on wall street.
