  1. I got one book in the sale today and overall thought prices were pretty robust. I also think they should decouple video game and comic auctions at this point and run them on apart on the calendar.
  2. picked up in the cc auction yesterday. Was hoping I didn't have to pay as much as I did to secure it, but the book is hard to come by and it's so cool
  3. got one book in the auction today. Assuming I was bidding against you @Comcav?
  4. Rules: No returns. Shipping to US addresses only. PP or personal check. Book ships from CA. USPS priority mail included in price. Take it gets book or PM accepted and posted. The book: Tough book. Only 10 copies in the CGC census. Dramatic cover by Charles Nicholas. 4.0 w/OW/WT pages. $425
  5. Here's a great looking 7.0 and it's the first time this copy has ever been offered for sale - I had it slabbed myself and it's one of only 3 7.0's in the census. Fantastic colors on this really sharp looking copy. An 8.0 just sold this wknd on HA for $2,280. Offered here for $1850 shipped.
  6. Rules: First "take" gets the book or PM accepted and posted in thread first. Ships from SF, CA. No returns. PP or personal check ok. Shipping via USPS box included in price. Only will ship to addresses in the US
  7. I think they shouldn't sell the video games as the same time as the books. I think there's a lot of collectors that cover both categories (I'm one of them) and there's just too much inventory at once and I only have so much budget to set aside. They are probably riding some of the marketing and views on the books to boost the games sales but it's simply too much and it's costly. What is this Sotheby's or Christies?
  8. this thread is still live and deserves an Easter egg!
  9. Rules: First "take" gets the book or PM accepted and posted in thread first. Ships from SF, CA. No returns. PP or personal check ok. Shipping via USPS box included in price. Only will ship to addresses in the US. The book: really nice showing 2.0 for what I think is one of the best covers in the entire run. Not a lot of GPA data to go by here on this book and only 23 unrestored copies in the census. I'm pricing the book at $1200 as I think that's likely where it would land if a copy came available in 2020. A centerpiece Cap and war cover book. Pick it up before I regret offering the book for sale.
  10. close the thread and end the torture please haha
  11. Here's my group shot since I also collect graded games
  12. I really like this book and have a copy. This is actually before I got it pressed to a 5.0
  13. Is this seller a board member? It's the only auction they have listed on the bay and it's a pretty big book in that grade. Any information on this auction helpful. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Police-Comics-1-1941-CGC-8-5-CR-OW-Pages-1st-Appearance-of-Plastic-Man/174306956665?hash=item2895811579:g:HZoAAOSwP79e2ZHN
  14. Since I just joined the AF15 club, I'll show you my copy in a video I just produced on this book in my YouTube channel:
  15. I just got this Spellbound in the current clink auction and they didn't give the book away. I just think this stuff will always be in demand, it's just cool.
