  1. I gave you the advice. Now go take it. If you can hold the U.K. AF 15 in hand, you should be able to page count and do a basic check of resto. Bring somehow knowledgeable if not. Many ways to make the deal go down and protect your investment ? Good luck
  2. I'd do it ? Pending images and no resto guarantee. I'd think a U.K. 2.0 has got to be worth a $5000 bronze book?
  3. Buy what presents itself in the best grade possible. Be selective and only buy a filler if you think you won't find or can't afford a better copy. I'm sure it sucks to find out that common issue you passed at $2 now sells as a semi key for $100.
  4. I would think that instead of cutting out amateur bleed through that a pro restorer could CT the interior and exterior
  5. Production flaw. Probable a 0.2 to 0.5 deduction but with cgc in reality who knows
  6. Rick. You sold your cow punchers ?
  7. Have you got an idea of what he's asking for them all or are you flying blind into the web? 40,000 comics can be $4000 or past 6 figures. If he quit collecting in 1990/1991 it's the same time I quit. If his collection is mainly marvel it should go back deep and could be the upper end of value. I have found collections of hoarders that have bought our stores with 100+ issues of multiple issues. Hopefully you have a Run collector with some sense of condition. I wouldn't bring in a dealer on your big opportunity. If it's good. Think like a dealer. Pay like a dealer and then work hard like a dealer. After filling your collection coffers.
  8. Congratulations on finding a 40k book collection. Now think about how long that will take you to deal with and focus on what your priorities are. I've picked up a handful of 4000 book collections and even dealing with them can eat your time. Make a plan and hold back books for yourself before selling all the keys and having bulk to deal with.
  9. I'd think it looks like a solid 3.0 or better structurally and was kept at a 3.0 due to faded colors. If it's really a 4.0 but faded then you did well. If it's a 3.0 with a fade I'd expect it to sell on the lower end of GPA 3.0 sales. if you love it and are happy with what you paid, You can't go wrong! ?
  10. Cgc put a doozy of a color breaking finger bend in my Warlock 2 years ago. 9.8 turned into a 9.2 slab. Be gentle folks. Finger bends hurt
  11. Showcase 37. Best copy you can find. Fun book and you Never know
  12. Break it open and lets give it an online read? Nice copy. Would look great next to a showcase 30?
  13. Loved this book since it came out. Awesome splash. Girl astronaut in green is just to die for ?
  14. 36 and 16 were the first two I ever owned as a kid and they were rags but I loved em. I'm sorely tempted to snag but I have raw... 72 is another favorite with the swampy creature coming on shore (that issue has the Galactus Marvel Value Stamp 100 ?).
  15. You and I both know it's just a matter of time and people will be kicking themselves for not filling out the run and keys?
