  1. No problem. Glad to be of help. I don't have that much experience with comics that shake in the case excessively. I have sent a few books for reholders. Some were cracked pretty bad on the front and back and they reholdered with the same grade as there wasn't any damage to the book. From what I understand they do give the books books that come in for reholders a quick glance at least but generally don't regrade unless it looks damaged. For my books on the shelf. I have about 60 up on a couple different walls. The main room I have them in I have blackout curtains in addition to the blinds to keep out even indirect sunlight. I usually just have a dim lamp on when I go in there as I've heard other light sources produce harmful UV rays. I rotate the books I have up every few months or so not the same ones are up too long. I keep most of my older books in the closet but display them every now and then. As my wonderful wife even said what's the point of having all these great books if they are just in a box all the time
  2. On my Transformers 1 it is the last gen case that are thinner. I bought it already slabbed so unfortunately I can not vouch for what might have caused it. When it's on a flat surface the middle bows up a little. All my other cases from the last gen are flat and I store them vertically or at a slight angle on the display shelf.
  3. I would reslab it in the new case just because they are so much better and more sturdy. I have a Transformers 1 that appears to be bowing too. Might be a little while before I do another reholder submission though.
  4. Here's my contribution to this thread. I think this is one of the first keys I bought raw off of eBay and was part of about a 50 issue lot of Wolverine books. Pretty long journey on this particular book for me. First I had it graded with a blue universal label 9.6. Later I sent it out to be signed by Claremont and was fortunate enough to add Glynis Oliver 9.6 SS. Then I got it signed by Rubinstein and a few weeks later Len Wein. Dropped to a 9.4. Ugh. I was a little devestated, but felt it could be better and sent it to CCS by its lonesome. Boom 9.8!!! Very happy! Mind you this was before Frank Miller started signing again more frequently, but I'm ok. I really love this book the way it is.
  5. SDCC announcement would be real cool. I always like when Punisher gets the credit he deserves. I finally pulled the trigger on a first Microchip
  6. Cool. Hopefully a couple of mine will be done in the next few days then.
  7. I'm going to disagree a little here. 9.6s of these books will still get you a $50 spot. I would probably set the the prescreen to 9.6. Send in batches of 25 since that is the max allowed for a single box.
  8. Cool. Best of luck. Unfortunately I missed being able to turn in Jim Lee books at Wondercon. He ended up only signing for an hour on Saturday
  9. Congrats on the 80% pass rate. That's pretty good. For me I like the pre screen service. Sometimes 9.6s aren't worth grading with the way the market is.
  10. Dell Otto was the standard cover artist for Clone Conspiracy....I do agree though. Too many variants.
  11. To tell you the truth getting the wires all tucked away is a little bit of a pain. I've only seen the puck like LEDs that take batteries. I've heard they sell those at home depot as well.
  12. I got some detolfs with the LED stick on strips from ikea. They plug in the outlet for power. Cost about $20 for a set of 4. They make a version that you can change the color on for a few more buck that I kinda wish I bought.
  13. I've never heard Ditko complain about money
