The one thing that gets me is I can't figure out why Venom and Carnage are so popular. I have never figured out the attraction to these 2 rouges.
Personally, I like that Carnage isn't motivated by money or world dom. He's just evil. And Venom looks cool, and he kicked the cr@p out of spider-man which did it for me. When a Superhero is genuinely afraid of a villain, it's awesome!

Better than I. Still don't know why I stay
Thats how I felt with my ex !

OMG, I want to argue about pointless cr@p too!!!!
Welcome to the boards!
Thanks! I came for the comics, I stayed for the irony.

Can you believe I have to keep this in a custom set? Shame
https://comics.www.collectors-society.com/WCM/ComicCustomSetView.aspx?s=17862
Ok, with the sig it looks pretty awesome. And don't feel bad. I have a couple Grimm fairy tales books that are my shameful pride and joy.

And who doesn't like Kieth's fruit roll up tongue ?
I think you mean fruit by the foot? And you call yourself a collector!?
-
I'm just saying you would be getting them the same way he does, just cutting out the middleman and saving a few bucks in doing so.
I think he's saying he's paying for some pre-screening since he's a regular customer and trusts the seller.
That's exactly what I'm saying, thanks man! I hate paying for books and getting them in sh!++y condition. Real downer.

Bah! I bit the bullet and bought the reg Dell'otto cover from ebay for $40 shipped. Blows, but I've bought from this dude before and he always sends me the best books. So, Fingers crossed for a solid 9.8 SS!!!!
Why eBay? Frankie's still has the regular cover up on their site for $23.99.
I sent a msg asking if they could send their best copies. I was told they could try, but no guarantees. Since I want this for grading, I went to a seller I've bought from before. I don't know what his deal with Frankies is but he's gotten me good stuff before so I don't mind paying the extra. Besides, if this is like any other dell'otto book, it's gonna be a lot more than $40 once it's out.
Who is the seller, DrewBizz?
He get's his books the same way you would. You just paid $15 more for the same book.
I've bought a TON from him.
Solid. West coast online volume guy.
CBSI guy too...
If you are referring to DrewBizz, he's a NY guy. Or atleast that is where his shipments come from on the shipping label.
Jerome
Ya it's drewbizz. I didn't want to say the username as some ppl get upset and think I'm pumping the seller, but I live in a small town in Canada nowhere near a good comic shop so I get my books from him and others I trust.

Inquiring minds want to know:
Whose the JSC king, Jreezy or Dscott?
Jerome
I'm far from the JSC king.
Dscott hands down wins with his OA collection. I don't know any other collector that has that many JSC OA covers.
Also, there are some people that have amazing collections. They just don't post on the boards.
I currently don't own a single jsc Cgc book so jreezy has me beat there. Great collection man.
In the oa world right now Stan Lee and his manager have the crown for jsc art between the two of them. If I don't own it, and it's not posted on CAF it's a good bet one of them has it. That said I've been patiently wanting for something new to catch my eye. I liked the La'Mole cover but I'm not a huge fan of deadpool and if I'm spending over 20k+ on something I need to love it.
That's what I said about my girlfriend !

I like incentive and retailer variants, but I always assume publishers keep a number of all incentive books because if demand and to be released on the market later .
-
I was tempted with the Clayton Crain cover, but everyone turned me off from comicxposure. I picked up the Dell'otto when it was first available for pre sale, and the Horn as they were both reasonably priced. But it seems many of these variants are really over priced from the door.
Edit: It shows I am replying to NYComics. I am not, I wanted to be clear on that.
I am getting the Clayton Crain set with the ltd. 500 incentive variant. I LOVE his art and that's going to be a SS set! I haven't really had a bad experience with them, and I'm hoping this transaction goes well too. I'll update the ComicXposure thread when I do though.
Well, if you feel like shelling out $149.99, you're a riskier man than I am.
What?!? where did you find that?! I got the email from them advertising it, but there was no price....

Where did you see that for Canada has a minimum of $145???
Or was that $145CND?? With shipping???
its the $75 usd plus the cost of grading and shipping. it may be a little more than that with return shipping.
It's $75 for three books.
Still about $100 for the three plus shipping. I do love his art, but I just cant justify it. I'd rather buy a minor key instead. But kudos to everyone that got books!
-
I really like the art, but I can't justify paying a bunch of cash for just the art when I can get it in a print, or a high res pic online.

Ya, $80 for you. Minimum $145 for anyone in Canada. This exchange rate is killing my collecting.

Have any idea when the Spider-Man ghost rider set will be available? I had June 3?
Checked Amazon and toys r us....
It has a June 2016 release date. It may not show up on the shelves though until the very end of the month or the first week of July. It has already shown up on eBay though from overseas vendors so it is on the way.
Lego Set 76058 for reference.
Ok, I figured it was just a matter of time. I just don't want to miss the window. first waves sell out fast.
Update on the Spider-Man ghostrider team-up set.
Set is pretty damn awesome and is currently my favorite lego set!!!! It's done really well and Ghost Riders bike is kick !!!. Also, the street corner set piece i thought i'd hate, but it's really nice once you see it in person.

Good god man, this thread is being beaten by civil war 2!!
I'm determined to keep this alive..
NOW VENOM #1 Gabriele Dell’Otto Color B&W Secret Variants

I love rather and would choose his work over Hughes and Campbell hands down. Dell'otto has good stuff though.
