Turned down some lower CGC graded copies over the years as I figured  9.8's or 9.8 raw candidates would show up but to date none have. 9.6 remains census highest, besides the "normal" Marvel Hanna reasons, the dark purple background on top half of the book maybe a contributing factor as to why?

Apologies to Comic_Memories for scooping this up; for you it's one of the few need to the complete your Hanna Marvel set but for me its the product of 15 years or so of searching. BTW folks we DM'd on the side Comic_Memories is a true class act!

 

Beauty, hopefully another comes along soon! Getting a new scanner and then I'll post a few books that are also as scarce as this guy in my H.B. Set.  Thanks for the kind words.

Just found out Frank had a letter published in The Cat # 3. 1973. Thats new to me. 

Hard to believe they reprinted that in 1993 but left the original year (1979) copyright on cover.

For sure, only 50 copies graded so far. The following Issue (42) has 31 9.8's with 112 graded so far.

Agreed have seen same scenario repeat itself many times with various comics over the years.

I think it might be a registry collector. More copies will surface now. It wasn't just one person.  Reminds me of Marvel Team-Up 131 with a black cover (first White Rabbit) when the census had only a couple in 9.8 and now 62!!!!

Another reason may be because there are only (4) 9.8's on the census. That won't last long after this sale.
