  1. I would wager that is the copy that came out of the Big Apple Con. It was evidently the most asked about book there. What are you seeing with the lower left corner? -J.
  2. Removed from GPA. (Yes, I just "quoted" myself. ) -J.
  3. Agreed. My copy came from Canada and he put a large envelope inside a large box buffered with bubble wrap. This sucks because it's not like the book is easy to replace. I know you were pizzed. -J.
  4. Holy cow that obviously happened during shipping. How was the packing job ? -J.
  5. There is a school of thought for that and I agree. The symbiote is only "Venom" when it's bonded with Eddie. This cr@p they've done with Flash Thompson has been a travesty against the character. If they introduce him in an ASM movie and do it right it could easily be a great movie. It almost seems like you'd have to try to mess the character up. -J.
  6. Damn that's tough. I'm sorry to hear that. Is it pressable ? -J.
  7. +1 This wouldn't be totally unprecdented either. The first Blade was R rated and was pretty close to being a horror movie. Its R rating didn't stop it from being successful enough to warrant two sequels and even a short lived TV show. There is certainly enough solo Venom material to sustain a great movie , but yes it needs to spin-off from Spider-man first for it to even make sense. -J.
  8. Of note, there are currently eight signed copies of this book sitting on eBay, seven of which signed by Stan Lee. The only unsigned copy is a 9.0 currently at auction. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Wolverine-1-Campbell-Deadpool-variant-9-0-White-Pages-Extremely-Rare-/121909057848?hash=item1c62589938:g:Z5kAAOSwUuFWvBub -J.
  9. After two failed franchies, Sony is NOT going after the core "Spider-Man" audience, which one executive claimed "doesn't exist" after Amazing 2. This is going to be a really drastic reboot I feel, and for fans of the comic 90's comics Venom, I don't think we're going to see that. Trust me, I'd love nothing more than a horror based Eddie Brock Venom movie, but I doubt they are brave enoguh to do that. Plus the screen writers hired, are almost purely known for comedy (funny anecdote, one of them is the little boy from Freaks and Geeks all grown up.) If they want to make money and not pizz off the very people that would actually go see the movie, that is exactly the movie they'll make. More -J.
  10. Stand alone movie , yes. But Marvel won't be invisible. I can't imagine anything gets finalized without at least a nod from them. I think a lot of studios have learned, thanks to Deadpool, that it's best to hew close to the source material with these movies. And let's face it, a Venom movie done right could be seriously badazz. But again, that's with a major -J.
  11. Hoping they've learned their lesson, and even if not directly involved, I'd wager Marvel will be looking over their shoulder this time. -J.
  12. I'd LOVE an R on this. Start with the origin story, bring in Carnage and then Lethal Protector, The Movie. -J
  13. Looks like it's back on. https://www.yahoo.com/movies/spider-man-spinoff-venom-revived-at-sony-220632770.html?nhp=1 -J.

  20. Do any of you gents by any chance know how one might get in touch with Dell'otto or his representative regarding a commission ? Any info would be much appreciated. -J.
  21. Did you see his variant for Spider island #2? http://www.ebay.com/itm/SPIDER-ISLAND-2-CGC-9-8-DELLOTTO-VARIANT-SECRET-WARS-/301790391606?hash=item46441bed36:g:C5gAAOSwI-BWOqSj Also not cost prohibitive. -J.
  22. I'd agree that daken looks pretty bad-azz on that cover but he has yet to really catch on as a character in general and X-23 has stolen most of his thunder as of this point. The winter soldier 1 cover seems to be the one actually getting the most buzz right now. -J.
