  1. The OA for this was made available for 11k euros (about $12.5k) by Dell'otto's rep. -J.
  2. Already posted in a link earlier in the thread. Have fun ! -J.
  3. No one ever said it was "easy". Reading is fundamental. -J.
  4. Don't you have anything better to do? I suspect not. So to reiterate, Overstreet (and Wizard) have already acknowledged the book is faked. Since you evidently have so much time on your hands, I suggest you set about contacting them and whining to them about it. -J.
  5. Gorgeous copy and a cool date stamp! @Comicdey Sweet copy ! -J.
  6. Why ? Even Overstreet (and Wizard back in the day) acknowledged these were being faked. This is nothing new, even if it has apparently been forgotten. -J.
  7. Some are real, many have been "created" after the fact. @KEY ISSUES Comics Which is why I said I am surprised CGC grades them at all, because if done well it is not really possible to know which is which. The "errors" supposedly exist because the foil was coming off on many copies due to the glue being poorly applied, or not applied at all, the foil has continued to flake off on copies over the years due to the cheap /poorly applied glue, this book obviously exists in ultra mass quantities and is cheap enough to try this with. I have personally seen copies where I could lift the edge of the foil off with just my fingertip. I am always leery when I see the copies with foil still remaining. The totally black ones where the foil looks more likely to never have been there at all are the only ones I would trust (and even then, you really just wouldn't know for sure). -J.
  8. Which SA mega key have you seen with the greatest uptick in interest this year so far? -J.
  9. You can remove the red foil with a hair dryer and patience. This person didn't even get all of it removed. The "white ones" are faked by removing the gold foil from those copies. -J.
  10. ...and here is what a very poorly faked Venom Lethal Protector #1 "Black Error" copy looks like... https://www.ebay.com/itm/SCARCE-Black-Foil-Error-Variant-Venom-Lethal-Protector-1-1993-CGC-THIS/223443363719?hash=item3406432787 ...I honestly don't even know why CGC grades these at all. -J.
  11. They're hitting the market now. Looks like $100 raw and $250 for a guaranteed 9.8. Normally I don't like to pay more than ratio for a new book. Maaaay have to make an exception on this one... -J.
  12. Thanks! I didn't even know about this. Going to have to pick this up I think. -J.
  13. A Dell'otto publisher incentive? Haven't seen one of these in awhile. Do you know the ratio? -J.
  14. Absolutely. Lots of nice copies posted here recently. Keep em coming ! -J
  15. The "last" copy was this copy, that the same seller relisted. Maybe the lower $4k price point was established in the first place by the same dunce auction end time. -J.
  16. We all know that feeling when one other guy just will not be denied. It's a really strong 7.0 though, I can't say I blame you for making a solid play for it. And congrats @Spiderturtleon the pick up. -J.
  17. $243k. The coverless, NG, missing pages, incomplete copy went for $9k. -J.
  18. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Tales-of-Suspense-39-Mar-1963-Marvel-Very-fine-Condition/264235466822?epid=85417044&hash=item3d85a94046:g:t10AAOSwqUBchwrI -J.
  19. I liked it more than I thought I would as well. Still think Larson is wrong for the role, but Sam Jackson and the cat had enough charisma to make up for her lack thereof. And like with Black Panther I found the villain more interesting and better cast than the hero. Still, I put this in the upper third of Marvel movies in terms of my enjoyment factor. -J.
