  1. Maybe(?) But I rather doubt it. What continues to trip me out is the complete LACK of raw copies coming up for sale. Last bona fide one was seriously like two and a half years ago. And in that time only a handful of copies added to the census (at 36 now but that includes at least 3 resubs for pressing/sigs that I know of). That's just nuts. -J.
  2. You wouldn't find it funny if you knew how thriving newsstands were and how they were the primary means of distribution when this book came out. -J.
  3. No. There is nothing "rare" about either in any grade. -J.
  4. "Newsstand" means absolutely nothing on this book (or most books for that matter). In fact, it would likely be more common than the direct. Great price on that CVA copy though. (Hard to say how much or even if that sticker affected much either, it didn't seem to do much for a couple other books on this same auction.) -J.
  5. That aborted 9.2 auction doesn't even show up in completed listings when I do an advanced search. -J.
  6. You were the closest. Finished at $7k. That's low. I do hope a boardie was able to grab it. While I've seen soft results on other books in this C-link auction thus far, I don't think this was the proper or optimal venue to sell this kind of book. Seller would have done much better on Ebay (and paid less commissions too). -J.
  7. If Sony plays their cards right they could have a billion dollar sequel on their hands. -J.
  8. Sweet copy and it always feels great to be ahead of the curve! -J.
  9. Another one where I much prefer the book with the trade dressing. Very nice. -J.
  10. He's talking about Dead Rabbit which was recalled by Diamond. -J.
  11. My quote comes from the article which paraphrased BKV. That's all I have to say on the matter. -J.
  12. Maybe the phrasing in this article will better satisfy your inner pedant: https://www.google.com/amp/s/io9.gizmodo.com/sagas-next-big-saga-is-a-year-long-sabbatical-1827843774/amp -J.
  13. "At least a year". https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.cbr.com/saga-hiatus-brian-vaughan-fiona-staples/amp/ -J.
  14. At $780MM+ and counting... We are now at numbers that would even make Kevin Feige envious... -J.
  15. Data remains mixed grade to grade. I currently give the SLIGHT edge to Batman 1, but could easily flip back again with the consistent and relentless available copies of Batman 1 and copies of Cap 1 drying up again. Content and cover edge still to Cap 1 by a nautical mile. -J.
  16. $38k for a 9.8 and $24K LESS for a 9.6 (which is only about $4k more than a 9.4)? Pretty obvious which grade is the biggest bargain at this point. -J.
  17. Looks great ! Love the lightning effects on this one. -J.
  18. Lol Noooo. This is a C-Link Signature Auction, there is no such thing as "off the radar" with these. -J.
  19. Another high for a 9.8- $2550 https://www.ebay.com/itm/Amazing-Spider-man-194-CGC-9-8-White-Pages-1st-Black-Cat/264029337868 -J.
