  1. Let's keep in mind here that he's a professional artist, not a comic retailer, and there will be time spent sending everything out that would not have otherwise been spent in that regard. Or he'll have others do it, which will likely mean paying those person for their time.

Which is where the profit from selling a $2.50 book for $20 comes in.

  2.

Overstreet? People still look at/buy that?

    yes, lots of people.

    So far, at least two.

Make it 3. I have a complete set of Overstreets and I'm proud of that. At least I think I'm proud of that.... :insane:

4 - I use my spiral-bound Big Book all the time for reference (the print's larger lol ) but, certainly not for pricing. :insane:

Exactly, I like shops that still use it though :takeit:

No, it has more to do with Overstreet and which appearances got listed and increased in price - look at Saberetooth, more people are probably looking for his 3rd-6th appearances than far more valuable/important characters.

And in regards to what I was originally responding to, I have had dealers tell me that I tell them about 1st appearances for characters that Overstreet doesn't even mention. So you are paying for a service that is not even doing their full job.

I understand that there are many that still get it just to get it every year, but I would venture to say they are older collectors.

  3. Nope.

First appearances = $$$. Second (or other early) appearances = zzz

Not that I'm saying it should be that way, it just is.

Pretty broad statement and really depends on the value of their 1st app.

  4. Don't overestimate how many anmpo are at five below stores....some people are just lucky

I have puled 12 from different 5 Below stores

    Also 6 2nd prints.

Don't under estimate how many ANMNPO are at five below stores....nobody is just lucky, these books are plentiful, and not rare.

Compared to what? 40k for a Marvel book is fairly low.

  5. Army Of Darkness 1992 Dark Horse #1-3 are selling for 40 a set. its probably worth mentioning that much like Star Wars, although the movie is not based on the comic, the comic came out prior to the movie.

There is a new TV coming out soon. Historically it's about $10-12 an issue.

  6. so is there going to be an infinity inc movie or something......?

Nothing rumored that I have heard. I've been picking them up because it's the 1st app. of Jade, as well as Infinity Inc. I was looking today because it also is the 1st app. or a future character announced for a TV appearance.

    Atom-Smasher (Flash TV Show)

Yes, as I stated. I was hoping people would do some research for themselves.

  7. I don't expect GL 48 to get to $40. I mean its possible, but the supply for that book is pretty high and I don't see the demand reaching that high to appreciate that price.

Unless its changed since I checked last night you can still find plenty of copies under $10 online.

I guess I'm confused as to why this book would be more speculated on than the 1st app. of the Green Lantern Corps. Kyle Rainer wasn't even in the original incarnation of the Green Lantern Corps.

Edit: I'm probably being too much of a comic book "purist" because the Suicide Squad team for the movie never existed in comic form.

  8. It looks like Green Lantern #48 is picking up steam with the announcement of GL Corps.

All the copies under $10 appeared to have sold the day of the announcement on July 13th.

Since then, the book has been trending upwards and looks to hit the $20 mark very shortly. I'd expect asking prices on ebay to end up at the $40 mark in the next week or two.

    Here

Wouldn't Green Lantern #201 be the one to get?

  9. Not heating up, was always on my top 10 bronze fave books, I think this one closed nicely, and Im pretty sure it could sell for alot more:

That does seem pretty low to me. It might be because it's a niche book and they listed it as an auction. Those that search for it might not have seen it that week. I would think a BIN could command some decent money.

  10. I'm still waiting for WD 100 to get some major heat....hope he shows up sometime this season.

Don't expect it, same thing I said last season.

The book has slowed down, but I was easily getting $20-30 for 2nd/3rd prints until end of season. I expect that to be the low end sometime next season.

Yea, it's not going to drop in price now that the new season is coming soon. Going to have to wait until this season is over.

  11. Are we going to see a jump in price on Batman #357 now that we have seen the presumed dead Robin's costume in the Bats vs Supes trailer?

Feel like there's little doubt at this point that Jason Todd will be a player in the DC cinematic universe.

I doubt it personally because it's already high priced due to Croc.

Doesn't seem too high priced to me and Croc definitely seems a lesser character than Jason (to me anyhow).

Batman 356 goes for about $6-8 in NM, 358 about $20-30 (again, because of Croc), 357 you are lucky to get under $50 for a decent grade raw. "high price" is all relative to each person, but that specific issue is a lot more valuable than the other issues around it.

Off the top of my head I can't think of any issues that have two major first appearances in it to compare on price inflation.

  12. I'm still waiting for WD 100 to get some major heat....hope he shows up sometime this season.

Don't expect it, same thing I said last season when everyone thought he was going to show because there was a bat shown in the trailer.

Any thoughts on the Four Horsemen of Apocalypse announcement on X-men? You think X-factor #15 will heat up?

    Been hot for a while.

  14. Thankfully your URL didn't make the page fit a 56" plasma screen and the page doesn't get all funky.

Anyways......StarFIRE is just that, on FIRE. At least the Variant is. Wonder if we have another Harley Quinn #1 1:25 scenario, that book is also screaming.

Conner & Palmiotti are doing alright IMO.

It is a great cover, but it was selling for $50 two weeks ago.

Also, the variant selling well has nothing to do with the Conner.

Who snatched all the cheap copies of TWD 132 off ebay

Must have been an article about it somewhere. Lets get to Negan before we start speculating on other characters that would be two seasons past him, at least.
