  1. Was able to snag some cap #34 normal covers today for $3 each from the LCS

Yeah those things are everywhere...for now.

Yeah we had this discussion a few months back. The print run is healthy as well, but when I started buying them a few months ago I had np finding them. Now its getting harder.

    Start looking for second appearance?

A little early to get that desperate. Still plenty out there under $10, just harder to find them below cover.

  2. Not really banned as such, Charlie was joking as we have had a silly amount done. We went to a couple of signings but it has turned out that he has been at every con we have done this year as well... I am not planning on any more this year anyway hehe. This weekend was really good fun and spent it with my brother but the problem is that we wind each other up and end up winding all the artists up at the same time if we are in that mood. Good thing they all had a sense of humor and were interacting ;)

I got 3 remarks and 3 blanks done by Adlard, my brother got 2 sketches too... so it's understandable that we have had our lot for the year.

Have some Jeff Smith goodness instead... this one was good fun.

    That is awesome!! :headbang:

  3. Civil War #1 appears to be on fire!

$40 ish for a book in a lot of $1 bins

consistent on ebay for at or around that price

    Any idea why?

Marvel released an image that said civil war 2015 with an image of spiderman in the middle of iron man and captain America..,

Captain America #25 should be heating up then.

It will eventually along with 34 I think. As the movie gets closer and more plot is revealed.

I'm worried with all of this Civil War talk that Crossbones won't be involved. He was a big part of the Brubaker run, as well as Sin.

  4. That's Milo Manara, quite a different artist than Greg Land, and if you saw what that cosplayer did, the proportions are not that far off. It's not Manara's best work, but it's been so blown out of proportion by people that don't know comics it's hilarious.

Here's Greg Land's greatest hits, he is a tracer, swiper and recycler:

I know, I was saying there is a lot worse than Land, but now that I see that tracing work, wow.

Is this the cosplay? Doesn't look that similar to me.

  5. It seems that sometimes you post solely for the sake of argument. (shrug) The books sold for $560 and $580. They are valid sales, and valid data points.

What books that sold for $560 and $580? Check the links in my quote.

    From your link

Thanks, yes, that is listed today. It was not yesterday when I posted it. As I said I think it only shows when the buyer has paid.

    Congrats to the seller! :applause:

  6. Holy pouches!!!

I know this one has shot up in price for 9.8 copies, but look what's now a $550+ book in CGC 9.6...WOW. The latest sale for a 9.6 OWW copy was $388, but then this happened today...

  8. As of October 2nd you could get the reverse and b&w covers...

    Thats when I purchased mine...

Well that's interesting considering they "sold out" before the release date. Where did the extra copies come from?

Pretty sure they were selling them in 'waves' online. They also pulled a chunk aside to take to shows. Conquest was setup at NYCC and did have these available. They probably pulled them off the site leading up to NYCC so that they could have qty for the show and not have to deal with online sales while they were away.

You say they were 'sold out' before release date.. and I think it means that the predetermined quantity for online sales had sold out. The print run definitely did not sell out fully. I'm sure you could go to their shop today and find them on the shelf still.

I simply am reporting what their webstore had posted.

  9. I was going to buy a few last week and didn't. Then the store on eBay sold out and I was like oh well. Went to one of my lcs's yesterday and they had a stack. Picked it up just to see how it is. I did notice that the cover stock is really thin, and the BC fingerprints way too easy.

Did you notice the cover price is $2.99? 3.99 seems to be the standard these days.
