  1. except the character is nowhere near as popular as Harley

Harley Quinn started out a rock star and has just maintained? I don't think so.

Neither of the users you quoted made a statement anywhere close to that effect so I'm not sure what you are getting at here.

If you are insinuating that Livewire has the chance to become the next Harley Quinn I can't help you there either.

Read that again. As people stated, BA 12 was in the $1 bin or less. Who knows what future a character holds. In 10 years people may care less about Harley, doubtful, but hey, anything can happen and everyone wants the next Harley and Walking Dead book.

  2. Pretty sure its legit. The guy who sold this book is a regular in the modern forum.

This book has a lot of similarities to Batman adventures 12 and nobody wants to miss out, in case this one blows up too. Its not the same thing, as its not a batman villian, but everything else just screems BA12.

  3. The second is the actual cover. The first was a promo image for the book.

Yes, they are changing the dress on it, which is another semi-big deal.

  4.

Why so many different eBay accounts? Is there a benefit I'm missing?

Well, each account (in theory) caters to a different target collecting group. I have another account that sells nothing but non-Marvel/DC GA and SA books (Dell / Charlton / Gold Key / Disney / Funny animal, etc.) that surprisingly does really well.

    Interesting approach.

  5. Profit is profit but I definitely would have had that graded and dumped it when the tv show premiered. I'm all for a quick turnover on raw books but I would have made an exception here.

1st season will either be on DVD or cancelled by the time you got it back from CGC right now.

  6. With a print run over 750k I wouldn't pay more than 6 bucks for a nice raw copy.

    That day has long sailed.

On eBay sure, but not at local shops. Its like MoS 18, due to its release date there is a perceived overabundance of the book which leads to a long list of shop owners failing to recognize the prices it currently commands.

Not to mention that again due to when it was released this is the type of book that routinely finds itself tossed in back issue bins at places like Half Price Books and other used book stores.

I don't find MOS 17-18 or ASM 361 regularly at shops. I do find one here and there, but it's about 1 in 6 shops/ stands. Last ASM 361 I paid $8 for, but they also had a Thor 337 and Uncanny 221 for $5 each, so they weren't picked through.

  7. I'm confused about this ASM #1 Gamestop thing. So you need 6,000 points. You get 500 for registering your card online. That's down to 5,500 points.

You either get 10 points per dollar on new games or 20 points per dollar on used games.

Say you buy all new games you would need to spend $550. Which is what, 9-10 games? Or just a new system and a game? Or buy all used and it is half of that. But new you could always sell for a few dollars less on Amazon on eBay. Easy way to save $150-200 at least I think.

    Is my thinking all wrong?

That's correct. Are you going to go through all that to make $100?

  8. http://www.bleedingcool.com/2014/04/27/official-justice-league-movie-directed-by-zack-snyder-will-follow-batmansuperman/

Confirmation of Justice League directed by Zack Snyder after Batman vs. Superman. As well as, Vertigo's Fables, 100 Bullets, etc.

Just in case people are wondering, Transmetropolitan 23 is the first appearance of 100 Bullets. As far as I can tell Fables had no preview.

Preacher #51 has a 100 Bullets as well, released same month. Now which was first hm

  9.

I'm totally holding my 2 copies till after this show starts. I see only upswing happening if this show is as good as the first novel was. Wish I had picked up more seeing as the cover price for #1 was only $1. :(

I'm sitting on mine as well. Unfortunately my LCS had bagged and boarded his #1's so I had to pay $1.29 for my two. Of course, that was a few months ago so...........

Your shop charges $0.29 for a bag and board?

  10. Sonic Variant 259 Auction

It has started…and yet no one knows why it was recalled. I actually bought the reg and variant cover today at the comic shop (one one copy each…at cover) and briefly went through them for curiosity reasons. Only thing different between the two is Front Cover and the last page (which it says there are two different endings…one for the each cover). Have no idea what is up unless it's hidden or so obvious no one thinks it would be an issue on first look.

Tidbit: It's Ian Flynn's 100th issue with the Sonic series.

You answered your own question there pal.
