  1. Nevermind. Derp. Misunderstood the post. Im dumb tonight
  2. I was hoping he would be showing up as more than just a 1-episode guest on Agent Carter. But probably not.
  3. rattle can of spray paint does the trick. Just do a few light coats & don't try to get full coverage on the 1st pass. Paint like you don't want it to run (follow the instructions on the back of the can for distance/speed of passes/flash-off time/etc) and you're golden. It's what I did with the slightly rusted one I picked up. Just take it apart before you start. The rack part comes off the post & the actual spinner mechanism comes apart in probably 3 pieces (the middle part of the sandwich that looks like a ring of ball bearings, just toss them in a little bucket with some WD-40 in it & any corrosion on the bearings should go away too) & paint everything separately.
  4. water, soap, 60 or 80-grit & 400 grit sandpaper, primer & a flat black (or white) paint will take care of any rust issues on those old spinner racks.
  5. It'll crash proportionately with the rest of the industry next time there's a downturn, but I think it & NM98 are the 2 "there's a truckload of them out there but the character is forever cemented into the comic landscape to a degree rarely seen with post-Silver Age characters not named Wolverine & will always have buyers" in the way that only a handful of books can be in each era. And like every book not named Action 1 or Tec27, will inevitably have a downturn eventually every so often. It's just a question of degree. 90's style crash where in the late 90's or early 00's, you could find reasonably priced books (relatively speaking) to their highs, it might get down as low as $500 or so. But it'll have 1 thing going for it that even NM98 or Hulk 181 or whatever doesn't have... a low print run comparatively speaking. Much lower than most of the other key bronze/copper/moderns out there. It'll likely never be a $10 book or even a $50 book again, but it'll go down eventually when everything else inevitably does at some point in the future. It'll probably just lose slightly less value than the rest of the market does.
  6. You don't need to wait for the movie. Just hang out with me for one weekend. [Error: HighFive emoji not found] Oh yea
  7. My greatest hope with this movie is that it makes me feel like I'm having flashbacks to doing LSD in my buddy's back yard in highschool.
  8. Well, considering that ABC is a largely female-driven audience, it wouldn't shock me at all.
  9. Well, 2nd thread got pulled too, it looks like. Dunno why (probably reporting because he was cross-posting on eBay and other places as well)
  10. Don't like clean-shaven Blade. And his daughter looks really awkward & like she doesn't really want to be there.
  11. Remember how bad the trades & reviews were for Transformers 4? China lost its mind over that movie & turned it into a billion dollar movie. They just did the same for Terminator OB-GYNesis or whatever it's called.
  12. That red and black looks simply sublime. Thank you! Yeah, I love that color mix. And since the whole room is semi-gloss red (2 walls & door/drawer-fronts on the wall of built-ins), matte black (1 wall & the frame of the built-ins) and an eggshell finish grey/silver (ceiling), I wanted the furniture to match the room. I couldn't find a red spray that matches EXACTLY the color on the walls, and for some reason, couldn't get the wall paint to adhere well to the primed wood (and couldn't get the wood to really like getting a decent coating of the primer to adhere either), I went for something close enough. I still need to re-upholster the cushions of the couch to match the color theme for the room tho. And I've been looking for a red leather armchair as well as a reading chair.
  13. This is making me feel a little better about it. Thanks guys. I'm a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to refinishing furniture.
  14. It's a solid movie with good word-of-mouth. Not quite GotG word-of-mouth, but good nonetheless. And it's also had weak competition (M:I Rogue Nation notwithstanding) in similar appeal demos. I'm not shocked that it's got some staying power. I might go see it again sometime in the next week or so. I really enjoyed it & am a little bummed that I've only seen it once.
  15. Apparently it might not include them leaving AoS. It'll just be their "solo title" while they're still in the team title as well... maybe.. That's something I can get behind (even tho I don't think they have the greatest chemistry between them & have more chemistry when dealing with the rest of the cast than they do with each other) since their addition (along with Mac) was what really helped the show in Season 2. I'd hate for the show to lose that.
  16. They already did a "stripped of it's fantastical elements... realistic" form of the Odyssey. It was called O' Brother Where Art Thou!
  17. I guess the Mockingbird/Hunter series is still on at ABC, just probably not for this coming tv season. Maybe a summer show? Or expand to 2 hours of Marvel programming per week (hoping for a 2-hour block) and that John Ridley show is behind Agent Carter in the winter-break 8-episode season to keep up the 2 hour block. Mockingbird-centric series still on at ABC
  18. So I just finished re-finishing another piece of furniture. I'm not 100% sure I like it & I'm thinking about re-spraying the base shelf matte black to match the other shelves (and possibly the top but unlikely) because I think it would look better if the shelves & the base shelf match but leave the detail & the outer shell in the gloss candy red. Buuutttt... here we are as it stand:
  19. That's the kind of incentive I need to send mine off for a clean & press & reslab. My 5.0 doesn't look too terribly different & some cleanup & a press would probably do it a lot of good.
  20. It is really tingling my inner grammar Nazi that the "silence is golden..." sticker has the word Duct tape misspelled as "ducktape".
  21. Really love the exposed brick look. A favorite design element for me.
  22. I think it'll all depend on how the humor translates with the Chinese audience. If china comes out for it in big numbers or it has any staying power there, it might hit 450. But even if they only hit maybe 415 or so, that's still pretty solid with a decent chance for growth in future movies. Especially if Ant-Man picks up some fans in CA: Civil War that didn't see this movie the first time around.
