Regarding the Y: The Last Man TPB
any chance after scturo is done with them I can be the next one in line? I did the research after all.
Picked up the Y TPBs already. They can go to next in line.Looks like you get them next Dude. (thumbs u
I hope you enjoy them and when you're done, I only ask that you give them back here and keep them in this thread.
cancel this request immediately
this was not presented to me as a RAK afaik-- it was a "share a book" which was going to be given to the next in line. I have NEVER received this item and as far as I know it is with scturo. I had absolutely no intention of keeping these books beyond the time it took me to read them.

Be wary of the Freak Brothers. Early printings are great, but later ones are cover or less.
How can I tell? There's nothing on the cover or indicia indicating a later printing. Copyright dates?
Peace,
Chip
Lots of info on most "popular" comix
I used to sell comix in the past but you'd find that even the rare stuff is hard to flip on eBay.. So couple that with the tedious work of identifying which print is which and I ended up just not dealing with them. Just me
I haven`t seen a website like that since 1999.
I am tempted to back charge that guy for my burned out retinas

Hey all,
Thoughts on storing slabs?
Obviously standing up is okay. How about lying flat in small stacks or on their side down a bookcase?
there was an in depth thread discussing this but I cannot find it.

here´s a new non paying bidder to add to the list . Ebay user :nhaupt02
I accepted his offer and 15 min later i received this :
"Unfortunately due to a sale falling though I will have insufficient funds to pay for this item. I am extremely sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. I would greatly appreciate it if you could end the sale. Thank you."
He buy things without funds , so we have to suffer the consequences... terrible and unresponsive buyer
they did ask nicely and quickly at least-- not ideal but better than some interactions you can get. Not sure if I would block based on this but might as well.

you know--- it is a bit sad to see several comments on here from upset Ebay/Amazon users about how something was shipped from ebay or amazon assuming that ALL sellers are terrible at packing.
There isn't a thread for -- Hey this person did a great job"-- it is a complaint thread and a warning thread all in the same. I think we can stop with the lumping in of all EBay and amazon sellers as being packagers all together. In any business or activity-- you will have people that suck --those are the ones we are trying to identify. Not all of the Ebay sellers are bad-- in fact most are pretty good when it comes to packaging and they go to great lengths to ensure a smooth transaction.
Semantics-- certainly. But it is almost as bad as the Ebay thread where people complain about Ebay but never use it either. It may not be perfect and it seems they continue to make it harder to sell than ever--- but Ebay is a good outlet for many of us to move products

They didn't pay immediately
They paid 2 days later after the auction ended
sorry--- I guess I assumed they paid right away based on what you wrote-- two days after the auction is over and then they pay and immediately ask for a refund is just bizarre.
-
I think they're right, Kav. I wager, nothing, that even if you doodled some stuff on a diner napkin that it would exponentially speed up your offer being snatched up...not to mention any of your OA or any of that cool stuff. That would be a given.
Not that your offer even needs it...but I do think that's what people are for

ha ha no I posted a RAK of 2 booty pics and a dollar and no one even wanted that
After a few days Kystix felt sorry for me and took it
I wanted it but I already took one and haven't been able to give one yet
-
nope
The offer is solid-if no one wants it I can live with that
people are holding out for you to add some booty art
ha ha I wish it was that easy
you draw a good Harley Quinn booty shot and they'll come a runnin'

is it topped with jawbreakers?
-
I realize most here have read and owned the books mostly referred to as drek - with some exceptions of course in that modern grouping---
my question-- do you have those books still or do you simply pass them by as they have no value from a flipping or other use standpoint?
also-- how easy is it to grab a great deal on a long box of the more interesting drek?
-
if the micro paper is good for the slabs, should we be using it in the raw mylars?
-
Yeah. If it's for one person in particular, it's not "random".
Doing something nice for somebody is great, but just as easily done through PM if so focused.
several others have done directed RAK's
who cares

Anyone who wants to criticise jimmers can just
LEAVE BRITTNEY SPEARS ALONE!
I haven't seen anyone really getting upset about this except the two parties involved in the RAK. It's your stuff-- give it to whoever you want. If it helps out a guy down on his luck, so much the better.
-
' I am also firm on my price so don't ask I took them to a comic shop to see what they were worth and they said as a lot 120 was fair I want them gone asap "
why didn't they just sell them to the LCS?
-
isn't Jim Brewer's SNL character goat boy loosely based on Woodgod?
-
You see ,Billy Mumphrey was a simple country boy. Some might say a
cockeyed optimist, who got caught up in the dirty game of world diplomacy and International intrigue.
-
sure miss those bootilicious drawings from the good old Kav giving tree offers

I know "buyers remorse" policy hasn't kicked in, however I had a weird one this week
sold this lot
buyer paid then asked to cancel the order on the same day
here is the set of messages
Dear jsilverjanet, (me)
Please cancel order.
- yankeeskd46 (buyer)
Dear yankeeskd46,
Can I ask why?
- jsilverjanet
Dear jsilverjanet,
Ordered in error. Will still give you positive feedback.
- yankeeskd46
Dear jsilverjanet,
Let me know what's going on.
- yankeeskd46
Dear yankeeskd46,
I'm a little confused, why did you bid on the item the day it ended if you did not want it. furthermore why did you pay for the item if you did not want it?
- jsilverjanet
Dear jsilverjanet,
Are you canceling it or not? If not, then ship it and I'll return it.
Figure it out as it's been 3 days now.
-Kyle
I've going to refund them but thought you would want to know of a buyer who does this now before the policy is even in place.
some buyers have their accounts set up to pay for the immediately. Maybe they didn't remember bidding or thught the bid would lose and then got the YOU WON message and said screw it.
who knows-- it has happened to me several times and I just refund and hope they are nice enough to finish the cancelled order part. Had a guy buy a kitchen sink (no joke) from me that was for LOCAL pickup only- -- but they live in WV and I'm in AZ. So I write them about the mistake and they say, oh-- that won't work. I refund them and put in the cancel order part and they have left it twisting in the wind for almost two weeks now. It sucks. Nothing I can do about it -- figures with their miniscule FB rating of 2 (TWO)
