  1. That looks like a really nice 3.5?? Think I said 4.5... still hurting from the 6.0 last round...
  2. Are there a lot of no shows so far? If yes, maybe my ranking will actually improve...
  3. I remember there being quite a few housing crash threads prior to 2008. Here is one I started back in 2005 (aman619 even posted in this thread):
  4. Weird how the 4.5 on the GI JOE book looks like a 6.0, scanner smudges maybe? Clean your scanner.
  5. I have no idea... grades submitted... what could go wrong...
  6. Me too. I'm OK with it. Once I submitted I wanted to change the Marvel Tales to 4.5. I didn't see it being 4.0 or 5.5 so...
  7. gradejunky, you might be receiving a request for back cover scans soon too...
  8. Certainly looks like he is "borrowing" pictures from multiple sellers, the backgrounds vary quite a bit in his other auctions.
  9. I probably wasn't lying. Yes, some comics are investments (mainly high grade keys). The majority clearly are not. The comics that are investments are gaining respect in my opinion but there is still a long way to go.
  10. Yes, a few creases there, but a 9.2/9.4 can still have that. Maybe the back cover is too dirty? Maybe a finger print there too?
  11. I went 9.4 and 8.5. Where's the damage on the JIM? Don't really see anything wrong with it?
  12. I suspect there is worry that when comics are perceived as an investment by non comic collectors, a crash will be imminent.
  13. Back in 2009 I purchased an Incredible Hulk 181 CGC 9.4 for ~$2850. I mentioned it to a few people where I worked at the time (as part of a conversation of investments we were having) and they were clearly bewildered. As time progressed they really couldn't get over it and it continued as a joke for them. Unfortunately I sold it long ago, but I'm just curious, do you think graded comics are becoming more respected as an investment over the past 15 years outside of the comic collecting community? Especially interested in hearing feedback from dealers, have your customers changed much over time? If you meet with a financial advisor I'm guessing they are still not recommending you to have 10% of your portfolio in graded comics...
  14. We should work together then. Tell me your grades in advance then I will tell you what I think when the round is over
  15. Ugh i started at 1.8 for batman 100... hedged a bit and went 2.0... so hard to figure out the low grade books
  16. Grades in... hopefully my random number generator works this time.
  17. when is the football game starting again... Winnipeg weather...
  18. Could be due to a stain that you can't really see... finger prints... indents...
  19. Just received batman adventures cgc 9.6 x2. Thanks again for selling to a Canadian.
