  1. And 15 minutes later... it has now moved to G/E/I.
  2. I still have one 9/14 batch stuck at "scheduled for grading". Its the "why did I submit this" batch. Worth submitting based on July 2021 prices, but not as much now.
  3. Just to add to this, the 9/14 received batch is likely delayed as the graders are probably passing it around to each other having a good laugh. Why did these books get submitted?!?!!? I’m scared…
  4. Yes, my slow modern received 9/15 moved to g/e/i today. Still have one 9/14 submission at scheduled for grading. Two other 9/14s moved to g/e/i earlier this week.
  5. They shouldn’t have won in 94… clearly had the refs on your side…
  6. You just got lucky. Tat is business days and just an estimate.
  7. It comes down to why you are slabbing the books. If you want to sell them soon, best to go with CGC so you can more likely maximize your return. If they are staying in your personal collection with no plans to ever sell them, it doesn’t really matter who you go with.
  8. A little movement. I called CGC as well about something else, while on the call they hinted that the "grading/enscapsulation/imaging" stage is a bit slow currently. So maybe I won't see these shipped for 3 to 4 more weeks still (my guess).
  9. The original poster almost tricked everyone into making him a youtube millionaire. Thanks for sharing your idea, but this site is mostly grumpy old men living in their parent's basement. Probably not your target audience.
  10. If you zoom in, you can see a few spawn 1s… looking a little closer… yes I see it… CGC 4.5! @NewWorldOrder
  11. The way I imagined this working is that modern submissions are assigned to each grader (scheduled for grading). When new submissions come in, perhaps a grader that usually does standard submissions agrees to do a modern submission quickly (perhaps because they want to get modern tats down). That grader can’t take a submission that is already assigned to a modern grader so they have to take one of the new submissions that has just come in.
  12. What did my local dealers charge locals to submit moderns to CGC through them? $59.95 CAD per book which works out to $47.46 USD. You have to pay $200 now? Do you get a $150 or $200 CGC credit with that too? I don’t understand the issue here… why should slabbing comics be more profitable for the dealer than CGC?
  13. The answer is no. There are quite a few books over the last 20 years that are worth grading. Reduce your timeframe to 1 year and exclude variants… you still have a lot of books that are worth grading.
  14. Yup, I figured. Mainly pointing out books that shouldn’t have been slabbed.
  15. I'm seeing an increasing number of people buying "shipping charges" with comics thrown in. The shipping charges were more expensive than the comic, so I'm guessing it is the shipping charges that they were after.
  16. CGC has shown that they are fairly open to criticism on this message board if done in a relatively respectful manner (otherwise the quality control threads would have been scrubbed long ago). Why should Instagram have a different approach? Perhaps Instagram can do more damage than anything done here on the forums? In that sense… I guess different approaches for this message board and Instagram is fairly reasonable?
  17. What if one cover has colour touch and the other does not? Still a purple label?
  18. My submission does include 3 books for my pc. Amazing Spider-Man annual 21 which I acquired off the shelf when I was just 8 years old. Just a keepsake, they have a chance of being high 9s… but they have noticeable bindery tears… so we will see. Even if they get 9.2, probably still worth $75 each.
  19. Does it have the right number of pages? The page gloss doesn’t look right. Wonder if CGC is seeing some of these fake books being submitted.
  20. I have 125 modern books at CGC right now (50 of them mine). When I submitted them in July… they were all worth at least $100 in a 9.8… now though? Some have fallen to about $65 which is making me sweat a bit. Anything grading less than a 9.8 can probably be dumped on eBay for cost though. These weren’t necessarily all meant to be quickly flipped though. This is really just a distraction from the day to day chaos we are all experiencing right now.
