Ya, I figured I might get them back just before the end of the year. Looking at what I submitted… I just have to laugh… 9 copies of ASM 55, 18 copies of X-Force 11 @Lazyboy and 10 copies of Punisher 1 (unlimited) to name a few. Hopefully CGC still considers x-force 11 to be domino’s first appearance!

I was there for the grand opening.

It is a really nice copy, the black is fading in some areas (manufacturing defect?) and as a result someone thought it would be a good idea to scribble black marker on at least one small spot that I can see. I picked this book up in 2019 (you can quickly spot it within GPA analysis). I've wondered if I could turn it into a yellow label if someone could do a remark over the very small black scribble...

Totally understand that, just seems weird to target Kanan #1.

I have really been fixated on this topic over the last few days. On Facebook someone announces they just received a grade of 9.9 for their X-Men 4 (first omega red). It is still at CGC. I asked them if the book was bumped out of the modern tier. They responded that it was not. On YouTube @etanickdeclares that he receives a grade of 4.0 on his Star Wars #1 which he knows to be an error as he cracked it out of an old red 9.2 modern slab. He contacts CGC, sends the book back to CGC to review it to see if they made a human error when keying in the grade prior to encapsulation. 10 days later it comes back as a 9.6. Did it get bumped out of the modern tier due to its increased value? No, it stayed in the modern tier. Certainly it would have been poor form to do so considering CGC’s error.

As long as they bump you down a tier too if it turns out you overvalued a book…

Does this mean it will be mailed back to you on its own as it is in a different tier now? Maybe it isn’t too late to ask them to damage the book a bit during the encapsulation process to bump it back down a tier.

I skipped this book (also skipped bzrkr). Just feels overhyped. Cover art looks ugly and the story sounds boring.

I preordered 5 copies of cover A. Of the 5, I’d say only one has potential to be a 9.8. Are you guys seeing similar trends in terms of damage? Im seeing blunted corners galore.
