  1. I don’t think you can preorder fcbd books. Comes out in August.
  2. I say 9.0/9.2 but I guess they could be harsher if they ding you for the manufacturing flaws. So 8.5 could be correct as well.
  3. How can you have the growth they want without opening multiple new locations?CGC on every block!
  4. Time to move the CGC headquarters to Canada! Specifically… Calgary.
  5. The auction is still going, ending in 3 hours... now at $574! Only 30 copies graded, all 9.8s (likely all sent in as part of pre-screen submissions). Wow only 30 copies!!!! Must be rare right? I guess I better send in the three copies I have... in 4 to 5 months will a 9.8 still be worth this much?
  6. Well… Stray Dogs 1 is pretty hot at the moment: https://www.ebay.com/itm/373620238078?hash=item56fd8066fe:g:8BUAAOSwY49gzVRh
  7. Probably the same people that get excited over newsstand copies from the 70s.
  8. It is what is. Can’t dwell on it. My other books have gone up in value too to more than cover my “loss” on the ASM 300.
  9. I sold mine last year for 3,200. Has it gone up in value?
  10. You are right, I often combine copper into modern without thinking. My mistake. This is hulk 340.
  11. Guess the book: The above graph is for all 9.8 copies of this particular issue. Last sale over the weekend was $2,400. 2019 average - $386 2020 average - $648
  12. Maybe they should remove the following: I can still get 15% off if I upgrade?... clicks link... nope...
  13. Steve said the same thing when he worked at CGC. </thread>
  14. Was the desired result achieved this time around? I simply mentioned that sales for X-Force 11 in 9.8 are increasing, actually doubled, in the last month. I then concluded by saying it was one of the last modern keys to do so. The next response I get is from GeeksAreMyPeeps and he states that "There's nothing "key" about X-Force 11. OK, but that actually isn't true. CGC (and several other sources) have made X-Force 11 a key regardless of whether they are right or wrong to do so. I too do not agree, the key for the character "Domino" should be NM 98 and I agree the key for Neena Thurman as Domino is X-Force 8. I didn't challenge this though. I then clarified my point of view in my next post by insinuating that there are multiple keys for Domino. Perhaps I should have been more clear, I wasn't challenging which issue was the singular key for Domino's first appearance, I stated that there are multiple keys for Domino. Again right or wrong, there are multiple keys for Domino's first appearance. Next is Lazyboy's response where he says the following: Is your post directed at me or comic buyers in general? Your post comes across as very condescending and really out of nowhere. Before posting on the forums should I be familiar with everything you have posted before? It is clear that your frustration is being carried over from previous conversations that you have had on this topic which I was not part of (I have since gone back and read the relevant thread on this from I believe from 2015). My original post is mentioning that it is increasing in value, I did not intend to infer that X-Force 11 is the singular key for Domino's first appearance. I only intended to get the point across that its value has increased relatively substantially over the past month. It even had a $420 sale over the weekend. Yes I did mention that it is a key because it is. Again, there are a few sources that declare it to be (I'm not debating whether they are right wrong). Clearly the market in general at least partially accepts it as a key for it to be worth more than X-Force 8. Reading your response again, while I initially thought you were targeting me specifically I see now that you probably weren't, just the market in general. To clarify my point, I posted a reference to the three key issues for Domino. This then set off some personal attacks towards me. Your initial response was fine, again, I'm not arguing that X-Force 11 is the first appearance over X-Force 8. Jeffro. insinuated that I might be punking the boards. Not really doing that no, my initial post highlighted rising sales for X-Force 11. I see now that mentioning that this book as a key at all triggers some people, OK, I see that now. We all define keys differently I guess, I don't rely on CGC as the sole source for determining what a key is, but as the leading grading company, it is reasonable to conclude that they have a say, even if they have incorrectly defined a book to be key. Until they remove that label, it is a "key". Your next point Lazyboy inferred that I am illiterate, drooling and something else that was censored... perhaps you are crossing a line there? You make it clear that you are directing this at me in your next post when you state that you hope I wasn't being serious. What could I be joking about? I stated sales. It is increasing in value which is on topic for the thread. Whether you like it or not, based on all sources available, there are some sources that have X-Force 11 as a key, again, right or wrong, it is what it is. I also don't agree with this classification, but here we are. Again, maybe personal attacks are not necessary? Anyway moving on, curious to see if it continues to increase in value over the next month. If I bring it up again, I will refer to it as a Deadpool appearance.
  15. I should have just said xforce 11 is going up, wasn’t aware of the response I’d get when I inferred it was a key... moving on...
  16. I totally understand why X-Force #8 should be the first appearance, however I buy comics to collect them, not to read them. Over 35 years ago I first got into sports cards, I tried to complete sets and to acquire as many rookie cards as possible. I have been collecting comics for over 30 years, its all about collecting the comic for the cover, its significance and its value. Similar approach as sports cards. Yes, I don't read comics, and you know what, who cares! As long as CGC notes X-Force #11 as the first appearance, guess what, that is the comic I'll buy and apparently I'm not the only one.
  17. Yes, that’s the problem with the modern comic era, too many domino keys.
  18. So who is ordering big for Batman 108 first full appearance of miracle molly? I’m going to pass completely, DC is trash lately. Their books have disappointed lately. To stay on topic, xforce 11 in 9.8 has quietly ~doubled in price in the last month. Maybe one of the last key moderns to do so.
  19. Me too, intentionally passed. I think I’ve already spent my entire comic budget for 2021... might have to start selling some stuff...
