I've only purchased one book from that infamous company, and I probably paid a little more than I would have been willing to pay for a raw copy online. I knew that there was a small risk that the company could miss resto, so I ended up submitting it to CGC. I received a Universal label with the same grade and page quality.

I'm not sure why someone would pay more for a raw copy—unless you think the grade was too strict. (Although I've never heard tell of a dealer grading his raw stock more loosely than CGC grades books; every dealer I've encountered grades his raw stock extremely strictly.)

When he had a YouTube account, Bedrock posted a video about CBCS vs. CGC, in which he said, "CGC graded books tend to bring a little bit more return on the dollar. And, in certain areas, we've even found that books raw sell a little better than graded." My guess is, the other company would also share that distinction.

Ear to the ground, eyes open, who you know...as usual, one or more of those

doesn't come close to Ron's Mitzi page or Rick's Flamingo strip or Will's gorgeous St. John pages and maybe Scott has something Fiction? but late stage Baker is impossible to come by.  It's not the last thing he did, but it's close.  And Harvey no less.

Has the Mitzi page been posted anywhere?

Underworld #3 (1948, DS Publishing). Holy smokes...some grisly stuff inside. Spine split about 2" at the top (doesn't get to the top staple), edge wear including chipping and more spine wear, date in pencil front, tear on the last page that is about 2" and gets into the ad and text (no missing paper). Probably a 2.5 with the split.

    Outlaws #2
Matt Baker art according to Overstreet, but it's  not listed on my  Baker  checklist.
    *shrugs*

Small piece of old  tape lower spine,  bit of general wear, some soiling  BC.  Pulled lower staple.
Flat and tight,   bit of gloss left, offwhite pages.

Asking  $35 on the possibility  that there really is  a  Baker story.

Definitely some Baker babes in Outlaws 2! Already have my own copy, but someone should snatch this one up.
