  1. If they start slabbing vintage lobby cards and one-sheets, u can still read both sides of the old paper. Looking forward to the next Hop Harrigan DC Entertainment Universe movie hype train $$:
  2. Might as well switch to collecting vinyl LP's unless CGC has started slabbing them like grading factory sealed Laser Disks? Bruce Hamilton ahead of his time?
  3. After 1973 Berkeley, CA con: $2k for Action #1? 'What have u been smokin'?' Pic courtesy of Bob Beerbohm's fb pg.
  4. Click the pic PNE Oct, 2023 link to enlarge pic for vintage toys, Vampirella, cosplayers and more pop culture, comics:
  5. OK, finished all 8 episodes, thus 9/10. Reminds me of the superb '1899' that I rate 10/10: cross btwn Titanic, Bermuda Triangle with time shifts like the excellent Westworld tv series that I rate the later seasons 9/10. Have not been able to get all 8 issues of the 'Bodies' DC Vertigo mini-series. TV series may be able to go lunar (from what I have read of the comic series), if there is enough budget and solid ratings for a 'Bodies' season 2.
  6. Watched 5 episodes of 8 so far. Cross btwn The Dark and X-files tv series. DC Vertigo comic was a 2014 ltd. series of only 8 issues so I don't know if they have enough plot for a season 2. Each comic had 4 different artists for the 4 timelines which makes sense. Rating 8/10 so far.
  7. Yes, as after slabbing a coverless and/or married GA, one can still read the first and last page entombed. Pic from Cleveland con 1960s:
  8. Do I espy a Famous Funnies #212 Frazetta cover in this 1960s Cleveland con pic compliments of Bob Beerbohm's fb page?
  9. Love to marry a 1st wrap, loose covers or centerfold to resurrect a GA comic for reading pleasure. Cleveland con pic courtesy of Robert Beerbohm's fb page from circa ... ?
  10. Get thee to a weekend comic book burning outside of thy church in 1953. Torch those heathenious EC's and PCH. Pic courtesy of Bob Beerbohm's FB pg.
  11. Video of vintage comics, toys, wrestling collectibles. 1 dealer bought over 500 used VHS tapes (horror, non-mainstream titles) on the Friday evening. 400 dealer's tables plus artist alley tables.
  12. Sorry, Ferd had left his funny animal high grade at home this time as he was rotating his stock. The fresh $$ original art walking around the con was very unexpected $$ this past weekend.
  13. Ferd's Wpg. group did well selling the restored ASM 1, trade for vintage EC original art plus cash for HoS 92 bottom staple spine restored. Some comic vendors sold twice as much on Sunday compared to Sat. but most dealers sold far more on day 1: Sat. * next Van. Comic and Toy Show April 6-7, 2024 * and sadly, @Fan Boy has retired from selling at this huge PNE con but will continue to support and vend at the growing 1 day summer August 2024 Westcoast Comic Con.ca. in Vancouver, BC, Canada.
  14. Harley not there but Ferd (original art) brought his buddy who is selling scarce Marvelmania for a 'reasonable' price. Last time I saw both their collections was at Calgary Expo. Several collectors going to PNE Show on Sunday for $15 general admission, as BLI con is tomorrow Sat.
  15. Yes, oui. No bias against PRO conservation. Amateur color touch is just bad.
  16. Just finished ep. 2 of 'Continental.' Very interesting mix of music from Boney M to Bach to Supertramp so far. Recommended.
  17. Could try a blue light (BLED) treatment. Search Youtube for comic conservation BLED.
  18. +1. First used comic I bought with my own money was Mr. Miracle #2 from a used comic and porno shop in Canada.
  19. Were there long lineups to use the washrooms because of cosplayers adjusting their costumes?
