  1. For that price, it's worth CPRing and seeing if you can squeeze a 9.8 out of it.
  2. This could be temporary. As the marketing ramps up even more, the awareness should expand. It might be temporary, but Dr. Strange is probably their riskiest release yet due to the underlying subject matter/theme. I can see it starting slow, with word of mouth being the key to its success if it is deemed to be a good movie by viewers. Unless it is Potter or Hobbit/LOTR, the fantasy/magic genre is a tough one to get traction with. You think Dr. Strange is a riskier release than Guardians?
  3. Isn't Marvel bringing Eddie Brock back anyways?
  4. Of course not. Why would Fox want to have Omega Red, the real Silver Samurai, the real Sabretooth, Mr. Sinister, Morlocks, etc. when we can have Donald Pierce?
  5. Tim Rothman is a bloody insufficiently_thoughtful_person and half the reason Sony is in the mess it's in. Thank goodness Marvel is there to change Sony's diapers.
  6. Why would the sign at a Canadian facility be in Spanish/Portuguese?
  7. Angel Grove looks like Detroit but without the whimsy.
  8. Isn't the "present day" X-Men in the 1980s? I haven't seen Apocalypse.
  9. I mean, if I had this book I would definitely wait for the first trailer that showed X-23 or some kind of solid confirmation before unloading this. Movie spikes are just a thing that we as collectors are going to have to deal with until the market corrects itself. Even look at NM98. It's lost approximately 35-40% of its value in CGC 9.8 from the peak of $1000-1200. It can now be had on eBay for under $700. It's a bubble. It sucks as a collector or a buyer, but is good for sellers. Me as a collector without a lot of capital just has to wait a few more years before the market corrects itself and speculators start unloading these books for decent (read: normal) prices. There's no way to realistically short or bet against these kind of prices continuing, so the only sane thing to do as a collector is to sit back, save up and buy these books at a discount when the market crashes. I don't believe it will be as bad as the 1990s crash, but it will be painful for some speculators for certain.
  10. I understand that, but I'm still convinced that the market cannot continue to sustain these kind of prices. Eventually, the people who buy these books high are going to want some kind of return and the person who spends $800 on this book in 9.8 isn't going to take $850 for it. A supplier sells to a speculating flipper who sells to another buyer who eventually wants to sell to another buyer. The supply chain has only so many links before it breaks.
  11. I mean, I know that I'm married and she's married but yeah...marry me, Melissa Benoist.
  12. It's still selling below the highs it experienced in June  http://boards.collectors-society.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=7654492&nt=38&fpart=38 And it's still massively overpriced and the market will still collapse once the movies die out. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Economic_bubble
  13. Asking prices. $750 for this book was ridiculous pre-movie announcement. There's definitely a bubble. I just wish there was a way to "short" comic book sales.
  14. And NYX #3 is going through the roof. http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2050601.m570.l1311.R8.TR12.TRC2.A0.H0.XNYX+.TRS0&_nkw=nyx+3&_sacat=0
  15. Okay, kids. Time for Zack Snyder to run this thing through fourteen different Instagram filters and call it a day!
  16. Any essential Doctor Strange reading suggestions to take a "crash course" on the character?
  17. At least it has my favorite car of all time in it - 1969 Dodge Charger.
  18. Sooo...why didn't they just go with Danny Ketch or Johnny Blaze? Would it be to expensive to animate the Hellfire bike?
